Just in case, someone spams all accounts with offensive messages ... should we than make messages more expensive?! What with the users that want to write cheap messages?! If someone figures out a spam protection would probably be a better solution ...He is not talking about spam here, he is suggesting the price of issuing an asset be higher such as 50,000 or 100,000 Burst in which part of it would go to a fund to help protect from scams.
End users do not suffer, it would be a good deterent for someone to open an asset if it's a joke or if they are not 100% sure of themselves.

No, a smart contract that when an asset is issued, some of the transaction fees to go that account as escrow

I don't know of the conditions, but I like RichBC's thinking. Raise the Asset issue fee, and find a way to use as insurance...

Decentralization means freedom but also responsibility for every individual. We want to lower the barriers for small businesses to issue Assets of their Projects not make the barriers higher.
Insurance, checks and high fees we have with the current financial system.

@daWallet So how about a "High" fee on issuing an Asset that is returned when the Asset meets some criteria, otherwise it is transferred into a Fund for scam Assets?

nah, someone probably thought that if they put this scam asset it would discredit crowetic and get people angry but on the contrary, we thank him for donating all those fees to the miners

I would refrain from doing anything that requires a passphrase for this asset transaction. They could be fishing for burst passphrases since most of these accounts are bases on somewhere where a sizable? payment was received. I own more of this fake qora asset than burst wow
Now I just received a dividend payout from that qora assest. I moved my burst coin out as a precaution.

i find it kind of funny over all, and agree thanks for the added transaction fee's. however this thread did bring up some valid idea's. raising the creation fee is a valid argument but at what point do we set a limit ? at some point it will begin to discurage people from making assets because of the price and scamer's dont go for small fry's if the cost to start is raised then they will just work harder to ensure they scam more people out of more burst the get that cost back........... Now the Idea i do like it a kind of insurance fund avalible to help with proven scam's.... my idea would be for it to be donation / crowd funded that would have several Dev's / high ranking members of the community act as a board of trust that would then investigate a possible scam and deside if it was a valad scam that douped multiple partys and warrents help settleing. or if it was an obvious scam from the start and deservs no attention and no help because people should never of invested in the first place.
