Formating a New HDD

I'm ready to plot a new drive. Does it have to formatted NTFS (vs exFAT)?

On windows: NTFS, Linux EXT4, and on MacOS Extended Journaled (Table Type: GUID)

@Tate-A With EXT4, make sure you have barriers disabled, otherwise you could see a significant performance hit while plotting. Ext3 defaulted to barriers disabled, but with Ext4, depending on the distribution, barriers may or may not be enabled.
