Can I Delete File?
-
Ok so I set up a plot on my drive and ran it till it said complete. Now am I able to remove that file and still get credit for it and then go and re plot the drive. Also when will I see any incoming balance from minning?
-
I could really use some direction I added what burst I had on polo and am hoping that I can mine burst and just need to know what to do lol
-
I keep getting code 112 when I start to mine again.
-
Well I removed the file and was able to start mining again. How do I know after it finishes I am getting paid. My wallet has yet to show anything forged by me. It does show 51'531 average, 10 fee, 260 and hour, and 135second block generation time under all blocks.
-
@ScorpioWins You do not get rewarded for plotting. So no, you can not delete plotfile again and expect to get rewarded. The plotfile contains pre-calculated hashes, that are needed for mining.
-
@luxe Awesome so then I guess I will have to the block I ran bc I ran the minner for quite some time to get it to finish. Anyways after its finished how do I continue to minning and actually making burst????
Please help I dont want this to be all set up for nothing, I am going threw my wallet and learning setting up assets etc cant figure out poll thing yet or havent even started with pools. I just need to know what to do bc after I plotted my drive ran the client it completed in bout 12 hours and then it wouldnt let me mine anymore. I kept getting a code 112 block.

ploting and mining are two diff thing's ... ploting is creating the files that will allow you to mine with a HDD. do not delete them unless that was plotted wrong or you deem it nessisary to remove them. after ploting then you can begin to mine. witch is a seperate program unless you are using the all in one windows client, witch plotting and mining are seperate tabs inside the wallet.

@Gibsalot ok So I finished plotting now I started the mining thing set up right i think I have miner-burst-1.6 running and it says
Pool Address - burst.lexitoshi.uk (ip 192.99.181.231.8124)
Updater Address _ Same as aboveUsing plots

100% 263 GB (21.24mb/s). no deadline Network quality 100%Ok so am I doing this right I just let this run and I should earn burst by mining?
-
@ScorpioWins Looks fine, your plot size is relatively small so you will not find too many deadlines. I suggest you look here http://util.burst-team.us:8888/ and look at the target deadlines number for each pool ( basically any deadline you find great that this will be ignored by your selected pool and hence the message "No Deadline" ). Any deadlines you find less than this number will count towards your pool earnings.
-
@iKnow0 ok so pick a smaller pool like the ninja one?
-
@ScorpioWins no! the very opposite
-
@iKnow0 so what pool do you suggest I should start on?
-
@ScorpioWins A pool with a very large target deadline, alternatively increase your total plot size.

@ScorpioWins also check this out https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1KHu9BWwy_QXIYAx2m_Tzs9BqPoTYUDhEDbHihZEXGsE/edit#gid=81124645
