Speed up hdd times
-
Hey guys just here to ask a few mining questions.
I have 5 hdd in total to 2tb and I notice 2 of my drive times are over 5.5 sec and never seam to get downloads. 1 is a 500gb other is a 1tb. The other 3 always seam to get downloads in 1-3 seconds.
Is there anyway to speed them up like maybe re plot them
I use the AIO wallet..

@skyline_king88 Are they optimized? If not, you could use the Plot Optimizer tool to optimize them (which will make optimized copies of your plot files), or replot them with XPlotter (which will create an optimized plot file from scratch) if you're low on disk space.

@zyzzyva thanks for the info I will try re plotting them using xploter I will read up on how to use it and set it up..
After I use xploter can I still use AIO to mine

@skyline_king88 Yeah, a disk plotted with XPlotter will work fine with any miner.

Do I just do this in window to change cache size..
IL so I noticed that the AIO wallet uses xploter so is that find or should I download the stand alone

@skyline_king88 I haven't used the AIO wallet, but if it plots with XPlotter, you should be fine to use it. If you already plotted your disks with XPlotter, though, you won't get any performance gains from plotting them with XPlotter again.
@ZapbuzZ has a great point about increasing the cache size. I got a 25% increase (on a low end machine!) doing that in jminer. I'm not sure how you do that in the AIO wallet, though, but it's worth looking into.

@zyzzyva yes I used xploter in the AIO wallet I am not great with batch files or cmd window so the AIO helps a lot..
Trying to plot the 500gbest agian see if I can get times down as I am gonna let plot on all 6 cores and nothing else running see if that helps
