interrupt plotting, what now?
-
Bad luck again :)
My laptop did a restart last night.
1,2TB is plotted and i am mining right now.Can i use now Xplotter to go further with plotting?
-
@penoze yes, but you'll have to slightly change the parameters in the batch file.
If you go to the xplotter thread, @Blago has a guide on how to use the software.
https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/3002/xplotter-for-optimized-plots-cpuIn brief, you'll need to know at how many nonces were created for your interrupted plot, this can be found in the plot's file name. This number of nonces will need to be input into the "-n" parameter for xplotter (by editing RunThisAsAdmin.bat by right clicking and selecting edit), along with your starting nonce (-sn). If you get all that figured out, then just run the edited "RunThisAsAdmin.bat" with admin rights and it should start off where it left off.
I know this is kind of a quick synopsis and if you don't have much experience it might be a bit of a challenge to figure out but you should be able to get it. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Okay just do it again :p
Never had such bad luck with mining but i never give up.So the best thing to do is format the harddrive again and start over.
And command the laptop that he will never shut down without my permission :)
-
@penoze haha yeah make sure it doesn't shut down. I always had a problem with Windows 10 Home and active hours if that's what you're using.
But also, if you started the plot with xplotter, which is included with the new AIO, you can get it to restart where it left off.
-
i have NRS version 1.2.7 as AIO
Is that the good one that i can restart.
-
@penoze which wallet version are you on? you should be able to find xplotter in this folder under your computer's username:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\BurstWallet
-
Where can i see that :)
i am searching.Meanwhile i am playing with Xplotter and i just renamed the plot.
-
@penoze you can see it at the top of your wallet's window. But if you have the newest AIO wallet version, xplotter should be in the folder I listed above
-
@k.coins version 0.3.7
-
@penoze ah ok. I think that one had wplotgenerator instead of xplotter - you might just have to start over again then.
Sorry for your bad luck!
-
@penoze You might consider splitting your HD into 2 or more plot files if you have plenty of restarts happening
-
@rnahlawi How do you mean?
Making different partitions on my drive?
-
@penoze NO !
for example: Make first plot for 1TB .. when it finishes make the 2nd 1TB (total of 2TB).
I assume you are using miner from AIO wallet, use slider to adjust the capacity to mine.
-
Okay,
i optimized the plots with xplotter and mining now with 1,2TBNow is it possible to plot the rest of the space and after that mining with full capacity with 2 plots on the drive.
before i start plotting the rest, i have to stop mining?
-
@penoze No, you can continue mining with the existing file while the new one fills up with plots. You'll get errors in the console, but mining will continue.
-
@penoze while mining, are you getting deadlines with the 1.2 Tb plot you have now?
-
@k.coins Today in the morning i started it up and it had some red lines with txt.
I wasn't mining anything :p.
After i got back from work i stopped and used Xplotter.
Now it looks like everything is oke.I see my account showing up in the pool http://pool.burstmining.club/.
only i have now ~700gb left on the harddrive what is not plotted
-
@penoze word. If you're showing up in the pool then you're successfully submitting deadlines. Go ahead and finish what space you want off with xplotter
-
@k.coins How can i add space with Xplotter?
This is a whole new thing for me to work with CMD :)
