i find that 2gb heap when i first open the wallet and its downloading the blockchain perhaps open the wallet and watch task manager for a cpu spike when itsover then launch miner?

Hello,
I had the same problem with Windows 32bits and Java (32bits too).
With 32bit machines, you can only plot 4GB of disk at a time !
Solution: I reinstalled my computer totally with Windows 64bits and it works fine now with a plot of 930GB on my hard drive.

@lochi 32 Bit PC's can plot larger than 4GB, as long as the drive is formatted as NTFS - if they're FAT32, then they're limited to 4GB

change it to
java -Xmx1024m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/;lib/akka/;lib/jetty/* pocminer ......
