GPU Plot Generator Win X64 4.0.3 Batch File

Can someone please help me with setting up my batch file correctly, I have 2 external hard drives I want to plot at the same time, can this be done?

gpuplotgenerator generate direct d:\p1\4401562696129194441_948625152_32768_4096 e:\p1\4401562696129194441_948657920_376832_4096

First Number in file name = your numerical account number.
Second Number = Starting nonce.
Third number = # of nonces to plot
Fourth number 4096 is how much memory to use, adjust to suit your system. 4096 = 1GB

The direct command specifies to create an optimized plot, you can instead use "buffer" which is somewhat faster, but needs optimizing after it's created.

Thanks for the replies, I have 2, 5tb hard drives, I am not sure how many nonces can fit per drive.

Each nonce = 256KB. Divide (disk size) by (262144), then divide by (stagger size -m) : round down, multiply by (stagger size.)

So for 5TB we get: ((5,000,000,000,000 / 262144) / (stagger = 4th number)) round down then * (stagger = 4th number)

Hmm something is not right, twice when I have clicked start, my computer has restarted itself, and the other time it froze and said my video card has crashed

'direct' mode does not work well for me, but to get it more stable, try reduce the values in devices.
it takes some tries to find the settings that suit best to a system. also ensure you are not running out of memory ... monitor it via task manager or something.

I suggest using processexplorer to monitor system while plotting/mining:

nonces must be multiple by stagger: 19000000 / 8192 = 2319.3359 => round it to 2320 => 2320 * 8192 = 19005440 (4640 Gb)
so, first plot: 2839928696249159715_0_19005440_8192

Finally got it working thanks so much guys. Another quick question I started at like 23000 nonces per minute, but its settled in at around 11,600 nonces per minute. What is the reason for the big dropoff, and anything I can do to speed it back up?

@vile In direct mode the plotter builds the complete optimized file structure, then populates it. While it's doing the building phase it's not plotting, once the file is built out to the specified size it will go into full on plotting mode. So your rate will drop until the file is built, then start climbing - normally back to close to that initial rate, depending on file size.

I used buffer mode after seeing luxe say direct mode didn't work well for him. Not really sure the difference.

@vile Buffered mode creates the file as it plots - ending up with a non-optimized plotfile. Direct mode creates an optimized one, but takes longer.

@vile If 'direct' mode runs stable for you, it is the better way, as it optimizes the plotfile within one work step.
For me it works well using 'buffered' mode, cause it plots faster. But i have multiple drives, and once one drive is plotted i start optimizing it. While i plot another one etc. but that way you need multiple drives and always free space for optimizing. 'direct' maybe takes some more time but is less work.

If you start plotting, you get very good nonces per minute, cause plots are only in memory, once the plotter starts writing plots to disk nonces per minute goes down ... and a little up again if finished and plotting to memory again.
