@luxe
Great! I like it!
-
@luxe thanks for this! I was giving it a try for the first time today. Is there any specific reason why I am not able to get any result with the settings I am using? I have not used 1, I or O.
-
i have addresses starting in SEXY, i have a ton of stuff, but in 140 million tries i still can't get BURST-NAME-LESS . guess 100 mil more tries are in order....
-
yeah, thanks Luxe!-) I wonder what I should do with all these ID I've got now?? like BURST-FB4R-KLJY-GC59-FUCKU ??
(send all of the rain back?? ;-) no, noooo i do not want to start!anybody else wants to get some?-)
-
@vExact start with 4 letters, 5 takes some time ... everything beyond ... good luck
-
@luxe I presume three letters and one number is harder to get?
-
@vExact no idea of letter probability ... but here is the alphabet ... so numbers are in it ... also 0 is not allowed ... damn missed that.

Maybe read here for additional info (how to do multiple searches at once etc.)

@luxe aha! It looks that the problem was I was using a "0", there are no ceros none O

Fantastic tool! I just used this to make a BURST-BEAR address.
I just have a quick question, from my research it appears you can't change your passphrase, so what is stopping somebody from coming across your own individual address (as well as respective passphrase) using this tool and simply logging into your account?
Is there any other resource that I can read up on that discusses passphrase and address linking?
Thanks!
-
@BigBear you could in theroy use this pog to hack an account but the dif betwen finding and adress that starts with
Burst-bear and hacking a targeted adress such as BURST-SKAL-5HDP-U7B5-G926K is crazy ... with this prog you may be able to find say 1 address a day or so that starts with BURST-SKAL but would take decades and decades to find the completed address of BURST-SKAL-5HDP-U7B5-G926K
-
@Gibsalot Great, makes sense, thank you. Am I right in assuming there is no way to change the passphrase?
-
correct you pass phrase is your privet key , witch allows you to interact with the block chain via the address its tied to. can only create new pass phrases / wallets so dont loose your pass and if using other than the auto generated on from the wallet client make sure its secure keep = to or longer than 12 random words in length
-
@BigBear There are unlimited passwords leading to same burst address, once you make a outgoing transaction, your password is bound to the address and no other will work anymore. So even if someone would ever find a password to same address, it would not be the same than yours and will not work ... if you have a password with 40+ chars you are more than safe from bruteforce. The generator does not bruteforce ... all it does is ... generate random passwords and look in resulting addresses if they contain words from your search list.
