@k.coins use wplotgenerator - stagger must be 1 for the androids currently.

Payment on the mobile pool were stuck, but now they are not :)
Also sent out a Bonus this morning that was also stuck !!

I do have pool selection on my list and development work has started there. Due to some lacking features in the previous NXT I've been working with somet guys on ways to link pools to reward IDs and it's not as easy as one would hope but I'll either get there or hard code tons of pools for your enjoyment. Don;t worry, we will will allow you to chose from a plethera of pools in the near future.

@iceburst do you mean determining the pool a miner has their reward set to? Then :
http://localhost:8125/burst?requestType=getRewardRecipient&account=BURST-ACGB-YGHQ-G9ZL-5XD7U=> "rewardRecipient":"11894018496043975481","requestProcessingTime":0}
http://localhost:8125/burst?requestType=getAccount&account=11894018496043975481
=> {"unconfirmedBalanceNQT":"2653601026807","guaranteedBalanceNQT":"2653601026807","effectiveBalanceNXT":2653601026807,"accountRS":"BURST-32TT-TSAC-HTKW-CC26C","name":"Burst-Team Pool","forgedBalanceNQT":"4903001811504229","balanceNQT":"2653601026807","publicKey":"01819849112da18b881e64d04f832bf27fb12bd258908e96e600070eba076028","requestProcessingTime":0,"account":"11894018496043975481"}
If not, care to elaborate on what you're after ?

@haitch sounds like @IceBurst was referring to allowing people to mine on pools other than m.burst4all.com?
This does kinda bring up a question for me... Will pool selection really be advantageous to mobile miners? Because the Burst4All set-up seems to legitimize and facilitate the whole process of mobile mining.
-
@k.coins I got that, it was the part about linking pools and reward ID's. Using the two api calls I posted, you can determine the pool an individual miner uses. So my thinking he was looking at having the Android client, determine the pool an account has their reward assignment set to, and automatically mining there.
-
@haitch Ha! OK, my bad!
Just out of curiosity, would the linking of rewards IDs mean that the assignment was set outside of the mobile API? He also mentions hard coding pools, which would mean the mobile app would get a rewards assignment setting?
Still some interesting questions here... will small miners benefit from going to other pools? Or would this be to address expansion of the application for larger miners to go where they choose? Maybe just something to consider.
-
I kind of agree as well with maybe keeping the mobile pool hard-coded, it avoids getting larger miners confused and going on the wrong pool, also the rich rewards incentives we give to the mobile miners.
-
I would like to mine where I want rather than be directed to a permanent pool. Reward assignment is no problem just the option to set pool is missing. Sometimes I get better dl with 62gb than 20 of my pool miners. I would earn more there than the hard coded pool. A lot of my small miners get 40 burst every 4 days or so...so far I have 15 and half came from me. If you can write an app then it would not be too hard to detect a mobile app miner vs a blago- jminer-poc miner.
-
@tross I feel I've been well rewarded for participating in the mobile pool, but perhaps you're right, it should be a choice.

Absolutley, It's about reading the block chain to find all available pools, that's easy but there is no connection between where nonces should be submitted (URL) and the pools reward assignment. I talked at length with another DEV after we looked at util.burst-team.us, initially I thought it was an easy problem to solve but after investigation it's not so easy. You have to be able to link Pool Name, RewardID, and URL all together and that's where the magic needs to happen.

hi, i have problems with plotting and/or mining burst with my Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) / Android 5.1.1
i try to plot ----> IO exception
plotting files on pc and copy to Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016)\Card\Android\data\burstcoin.com.burst\files (numericAccId_0_4096_1) ------> but the App says No Plot Fileswhat can i do?
-
I used this app on my xperia z5 premium its neither ploting completely neither mining please update it asap its not working over here I tried many times~ thankyou
-
@IceBurst yeah, linking pool to URL is the headache. Perhaps an online DB of well known pools, and if the pool is not a kown one prompting for the url ?
-
@IceBurst @haitch it would be ideal if all the pools set their burst name as the address users need to set on their miner.
then you could just use that API and get the pools for the miner that way (this somewhat also standardizes pool setups and removes the need for an online db and keeps it decentralized).
-
@evolver have you tried I put the plot on the internal memory? Just to see what happens. I have a device that only recognizes the plots if their in the root directory

Another one bites the dust. Congrats Yey-Tiny on that block
