Quick update, after I plotted the first HDD and tried to optimize the plots the optimizer crashed and corrupted the plot not to mention something is going on with pool.burst-team.eu and all DLs for the past few hours have not been confirmed sooooooooooo gonna replot the HDD and switch to a different pool for now, if I can get in touch with @haitch today I will do this week's dividend payout
-
@socal I've done a restart on .eu and it's looking a lot better now.
-
second week dividends have been sent, Happy New Year everyone ;)
-
OK once I got a little help tweaking my parameters the xplotter isn't too bad, the first HDD of the expansion is now up and running and I am now waiting on the second HDD to be plotimized (plotted/optimized) so the Asset is currently running at 7.7TB organic + another 5TB being plotimized + @haitch's bonus 95TB.
Once the second block of shares is sold out I will be able to purchase the second 10TB expansion.
-
Also just wanted to note that I am leaving about ~10% on the HDDs unused to prevent HDD lockup, so each HDD actually gets about 4.5 - 4.6TB of plots
-
@socal I am sure this is not necessary, what makes you think they will lockup?
Rich
-
@socal Not required - some of my drives are 99.99% plotted.
-
@haitch ahh OK when I was browsing through the plotting section I kept seeing it suggested to leave ~10% free so that the HDDs don't bog down too badly
-
@socal Don't know where the advice came from, but definitely not required. If they were on ZFS volumes okay, but a regular hard disk? Nope - Go all the way.
-
@socal I think that advice for people who use their main HDD to mining too. For people who using HDD only for mining, no need to leave that 10%.
-
This weeks dividends have been sent, hope you guys enjoy ;)
-
why is somebody trying to undercut the escrow on the AE lmao? I mean you guys can do what you want with your shares but selling at a loss and postponing future development seems kinda counter productive.....
-
Picked up a sizeable buy. Thanks ;)

Someone probably needs liquidity for something else I can imagine :)
-
I don't think undercut is wrong thing. If your asset is good, no reason to afraid the undercutter because they will sold fast. IMHO.
-
anyone else wanna sell undercut shares ? ill grab em!!!
-
only 13,000 shares until the next upgrade

Hey all, bit of bad news. My computer HDD decided to eat itself today, I have been trying to recover but no such luck yet I have been working with @haitch and there's a few other things I need to try. If I am unsuccessful then I will lose access to the asset account and my personal account BUT IT WILL NOT KILL THE ASSET worst case is a one week loss of dividends from the asset miners (about 2000 burst) but not @haitchs miners so please bear with me while I get this issue resolved.
PS
Please learn from my mistake and store a copy of your passphrase offline and off a computer like a thumb drive or written down on paper and put into your safe or deposit box
-
@socal UPDATE: I forgot I had a back up of my personal account passphrase on my phone but to make up for lost mining earnings from the asset account I will not be getting dividends this week so that should offset the Burst that's locked up in the asset account.
None of this will impact asset holders, for you guys it will be business as usual and you will continue to receive the correct dividend amounts while I get this backend issue resolved
