Laptop Good For Development
-
Hi, I am in need of a Laptop for development. I currently have no money so I cant afford one. Can you suggest any that has decent specs and are inexpensive. I am only asking as I am going to be travelling quite a lot and I don't want to put BURST Browser on hold any longer than it should!

I'm no pro on laptops, but i'm curious, you have no money but will be traveling quite a lot and you are searching for a laptop? Thats not what broke guys do

@JackManMania Have you heard of Chromebooks ? I own one, they are very very cheap but awesome if all you need to do is go on the web and do simple tasks... They are like a typewriter with internet and small applications (some of them can have android apps too). They are also super fast for their price ! But I don't know if they would be good for you, depends on the type of "development" you plan to do I guess.

Moved to Off Topic.
For development an old Netbook with Atom Processor will do it.

depends on what tools you need for your dev workspace. Myself using at work old asus notebook (DDR2, i3, that kind of shit). It is fairly good as long i dont expect from it breezing throu JAVA development (well android studio) :D For web its more than enough (sometimes want more RAM but cant complain much)

@BurgerBaron Yeah well. Its a trip not paid by me. xD

@LithStud Ok, I might look at an i3/i5. It will be used for Visual Studio and some Web work. I might have to stop my BBrowser Miner as it uses my laptop with a Celeron and 4GB RAM.
-
@JackManMania as i said all depends how much power your dev tools needs (like VS Code would probably run on pretty much anything :) while VS itself is a bit heavier program)
-
@LithStud Yes, I see what you mean :)

I might do this one,

If you often mobile, choose more lightweight laptop with decent battery life.
