Your coins are there.

a) The account number on your mining files corresponds to the account BURST-NCNP-NT9P-YY4P-44DZY - if you're not showing that ID when you login, you're using a different pass phrase.
b) You plots are a mess and really overlapped. Sort out your pass phrases then ask for plotting help.
-
@haitch I really can't understand anything you said. The passphrase is the one I copied and pasted to notepad. I have no idea what you mean by my "plots are a mess." What does that even mean? Do I need to rewrite the plots to the hard drive? Somehow, it seems, the passphrase, that I copied and pasted in notepad, suddenly became invalid. It worked many times,. Then suddenly it created a new account. This doesn't seem very trustworthy.

When you log in to the wallet does it show your address as BURST-NCNP-NT9P-YY4P-44DZY ? If it doesn't you're using the wrong passphrase.
-
"your plots are a mess" - there are a bunch of overlaps - work with someone here to plot correct files.

Sounds like you're logging into a random wallet with the passphrase you're using. It happens to me sometimes with the mobile wallet. Make sure you type out the passphrase carefully. It should be simply a string of words separated by single spaces. Like,
dog fault run chair above elbow title and on and on
We can all see the address with your name on it (http://burstcoin.biz/address/3421999758306847381) and your coins are there.
I know this wouldn't be good protocol but if it really comes down to it, maybe you could give the passphrase you're using to one of the more trusted members here (@haitch) to see if they can get into it. If they can, maybe you can make a new address, with a new passphrase that works, and then they can send you your old balance. Just a thought... hate to see someone so discouraged with this wonderful thing we have going on here.

Let's help some of these new Miner's out by offering sample plot sizes to fill a drive.
1tb = 880 GB plot file. Free space reserved for logfiles or blago miner of an ext drive.

@k.coins
So it seems that somehow my text file got changed and i have no way to recover the pass phrase and by extension, my account or its contents. I can see why very few people are involved in this currency. I don't think I'll be pursuing this any further. Thanks for your help though.

@srhanna with the AIO wallet you do not really need to copy paste your passphrase from a notepad or similar. You create yours and then save it locally in your computer with the account manager. When you need to login again in your account you can just use the manager again and load the passphrase. Its really simple.
-
@srhanna your plots do overlap because you have the starting nonce of your files coinciding several times, therefore your are wasting space. Let's say you have 1TB you want to plot, then you will have to create either one plot file of 1TB or you could also create several files so that they together add up 1TB. Usually if you use the CPU plotter (which is the one coming with the AIO wallet), it is better to plot in bunches of less than 500GB, some people use 200GB, etc.. In that case if something goes wrong or you computer freezes up you do not need to star over from scratch.
Now back to the overlapping issue, your files have the following name:
ID-Number_StartingNonce_Nonces_StaggerSize
your first file is 3421999758306847381_1_0_2000 is not correct because you set the number of nonces (what determines the file size) to 0, so this file should actually be empty!
If you set for example 3421999758306847381_0_2000_2000 it now makes sense, as you are creating now a file with 2000 nonces. If you want you can download the nonce calculator here
https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/338/nonces-calculator-for-plotting-v3-0
which tells you size in term of nonce number: 1638400 nonces for example is equal to 400GB
After you create your first file, then for the second one you need to do the following:
StartingNonce + Nonces (from previous file)= StartingNonce (of the next file), so that your second one could be
3421999758306847381_2000_2000_2000, the next would be then
3421999758306847381_4000_2000_2000 and so on...
In this way you do not overlap your plots, which is needed in order to mine properly. Use the AIO wallet plotter, so that your plots get optimized as well, which mean number of nonces equal to stagger size, as in the example I just showed you.
Don't be discouraged and Burst yourself :) If you have any other problem let us know.

@srhanna you're not that far from getting it... those coins you lost are nothing compared to what you could get if we got things working for you. Shoooot.... I'll even send you 800 burst if you show me you're trying hahah! Your old wallet only has 742.25 Burst. Think about it!
And btw, no need to try and demean the community here by saying, "I can see..." when there are obviously a lot of people trying to help you. With any crypto-currency you need to have your passphrase safe and secure (and correct!), better you learn here with 700 Burst than with Jaxx and 700 BTC.
-
@srhanna 53,000 wallets disagree with your "few people" comment. People here are willing to help you get setup properly - accept the help and get setup to mine.
-
@srhanna btw, today I was chatting on the slack channel of Exodus and someone asked about which crypto was really worth investing in these days, and someone that has got some quite experience mining currencies like ETH, XMR, etc.. for my surprise did recommended BURST! So you see our point here. A good investor sees the potential around and try to overcome the apparent obstacles.
