need help? http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/rkill/ download rkill, go to mbam website https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/ and run scan, once done it will prompt u to restart computer, should be gone by now ;)
RKill is a program that was developed at BleepingComputer.com that attempts to terminate known malware processes so that your normal security software can then run and clean your computer of infections

tryed all of that ... it eventuly just locked me out of internet all together .... formate fresh install win 10 im back up and running .. doing updates and installs and running a few scans to make sure it the formate killed it for good ... fairly sure i know how i got it and will not be visiting that site anymore.
-
@Gibsalot welp reformat is the best thing, good luck

FYI, I usually run a cocktail of software at the same time.
CCleaner, Malwarebytes, Super Anti Spyware. Install and run the free versions of all the software listed. Uninstall once scans are complete.

i run malwarebytes and AVG ... but this virus just shut them down completly befor i even got a warning or flag anything .... i was looking for a coppy of CDMA workshop thought i had found one on a sketchy site hit download ... and within 10 sec it was over .. it shutdown malware , avg , win firewall , and defender along with google chrome ... and would not let me turn anything on or make any changes to any thing along with some serious redirecting when i tryed to go to online antivirus sites using microsoft edge eventuly it just wouldnt let me online at all
-
@Gibsalot malwarebytes premium wouldn't let the virus shut down due to malwarebytes chamelon :p
but
be careful of drive-by-downloads, this is exactly why I don't go to sketchy sites like some faucet sites

@Gibsalot make sure you also scan any usb pen drives you were using (that includes your phone drive to if it was connected to the infected PC at any time), also a good way to block most of the advertising sites is using the hosts file method as a blocker. Its all explained here, http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm. Also go to a clean PC and change all your online passwords as they may have had a keylogger installed.
