No need to be jealous, The Google Play store should tell you to upgrade your Burst Wallet, in that upgrade to version 2.0.9 is the two fixes and repointing to BURST4ALL. I'll be monitoring log crashes via the Google Developer console and as I see issues I'll try to address them.

  • @Gibsalot - thanks, I'll watch for that, There was a bug related to Wake Lock (Which is power management when not plugged in)

Can the non mobile miners please move to a different pool? The miners with 72TB, 18TB and 5.5TB obviously aren't mobile mining - and are crushing mobile miners potential incomes. The idea is to get capacity to the pool via the volume of miners, having them look at the pool and see that their potential earning are 0 will not build a mobile mining community.

It's not my pool, but if it was - I'd IP block the high capacity miners screwing up the pool for everyone else.

  • @haitch I can understand the reasoning behind asking non-mobile miners with large capacity miners moving to alternative pools now. But what about when the android client allows plotting/mining on external storage (i.e., SD cards or external HDDs via USB ports on android TVs)? If I have two 8TB external HDDs connected to my Nvidia Shield, would I also be not welcome on the mobile pool? I guess at that point in time the android client will likely allow users to choose a pool that best suits their capacities and this problem would be avoided. Just wanted to voice some thoughts.

Really appreciate all the development that's gone into this so far - very very cool guys!

@vier23 If you can demonstrate that it's really mobile device storage - fine, I have no problem.

But I see no feasible way a mobile device can effectively/realistically/demonstably mine 72TB.

  • @haitch Understood and agreed, 72TB is definitely not realistic for for a mobile device. I guess my question then is: wouldn't someone mining with 16TB on a mobile device also discourage other users with more limited capacities on other mobile devices? I'm thinking eventually we may need to have some sort of capacity restriction if the plan is to get the type of volume-based mobile mining pool (with small capacity miners) you are envisioning. I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there. Thanks for the quick reply

@vier23 Not my pool/project - but yeah, if it was mine I'd implement a capacity limit. An individual user dominating the earning capability of the pool is a major dis-incentive to other prospective miners.

  • @haitch yeah, agreed. either that or mobile miners with external HDDs need to join other pools.

  • I am getting "Error: IOException Plotting" when I try to plot. Is this a compatibility issue with the micro SD card I am using?

EDIT: I'm plotting on my computer and copying them to my phone.

Did this bug halt the mining?

After using my phone for a while, I go back to check mining, only to have to log back in to my wallet. Only then am I able to navigate to mining again. Is it mining while I am auto-logged out of the wallet?

  • been mining on my Note 4 for a couple of days but I didn't see anything on my wallet or even on the pool.burst4all.com. I delete the app.

  • Should of stuck around @Yey_09, I see we forged a block and I received a bonus payment.

Can anyone share the specifics for the mobile pool's reward system?
