Why are people still investing thousands of dollars?

@mathew for burst all the mining and plotting tools and pools had to be developed for example ... you could not just add another algo to e.g. sgminer.

So in this case investing for 100 Hard drives now is risky or its even better for upcoming new currencies that could be mine in HDD?

Set on storage for life that's for sure hahahahaha. Im not sure what Im going to do with old HDD after 10 years tho :D But to not rush this I was thinking to start with 10 or 12 HDD first and then maybe deciding on investing more HDD's for the future based on what future this Burstcoin will bring.
