How can speed up ploting in win32?
-
Hello,
My PC is win 7 32 bit and CPU 3.4 DUAL CORE. GPU is 512 and RAM IS 3 Gib DDR2
with this specification how can I speed the process of plotting?
Can I use wplotgenerator or gpugenerator?
if yes please send me download link.
also it shows me before plotting that win 32 is so slow and never mind....however I use new version both BURSTCOIN 1.2.6 and Java is updated .Thank you for your help

@naziburst dont you need 64 bit to run the miners?

@HiDevin
I don't know I am new .... this error that shows when I start ploting and it is too slow Its about 15 hours that I started plots 850 TB HDD and still just filled 70gb.is that normal?
I guess it would take about 1 weak.

@naziburst As far as i know you will only be able to plot in a 32bit OS with the wplotgenerator and you will only be able to mine with those plots if each plot have less than 4Gb... And the only miner you will be able to use is the POCminer if i am not wrong...
So if you have 850Tb to plot i strongly suggest to get a 64bit OS running otherwise you will take ages to plot and when you are reading the plots during mining it will take too much time to read those plots because they will be too much number of plots :(

@gpedro
oh ... so I have to change my win to 64bit?
after plots, drivers would be full so when will I delete data from them? after mining or after plotting ?sorry I am beginner and I just started to learn how burstcoin is working.if there is a source that answer all questions for beginners plz tell me...
Thank you

@naziburst gpedro is mixing stuff right now. The problem with 32 bit is that newer plotters and miners are not supported. Only the original plotter and miner based on java will work on 32 bit and these are way slower.

Oh it looks i mixed something, sorry @naziburst ... But either way i would advise to change for a 64bit OS...
@daWallet can you tell me what i mixed up more concretely?
The POCminer is the original miner right?
And wplotgenerator is not the original plotter?

@gpedro the 4 GB plot size limit is a FAT32 file system limit. It has nothing to do with the architecture. 32 Bit can't address more than 3 or 4 GB of RAM though.
I think in the POCminer package is also a generate.bat or plot batch file to generate plot files the original way.

@daWallet
I guess it is better to change it to 64but because at the beginning I have face to many problems.
I have 3Gb RAM
-
@daWallet Oh ok i get it now... mixed FAT32 with 32bit OS xD
Thanks for the explanation daWallet...
Sorry again for that @naziburst ...

@naziburst There's another miner for 32bit system, very low ram usage (I'm using it on a pc with win7 32bit and 1gb ram ddr2, barely no ram used) : https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/27/runaurufu-s-burst-miner-win. But a 64bit os it's better, more fast and optimized software available. Also I suggest you to give up with win7: possible caching problems, win8+ solve these.
