We could use some help trying to revive these chains!
-
I can dedicate a pc to running only wallets
-
@gpedro I'll be the devil's advocate here and ask the questions.
- Why are we trying to revive these coins?
- Is Burst no longer a vivable coin?
- What happens to Burst once these other coins are up and running?
- Are others trying to revive the market so that they can dump their existing coins?
-
@socalguy not the devil at all, I was, in fact, wandering some of this questions.
Like, what will happen to Burst development if all those other coins are in dev at the same time.We need to remember that the more project a single person have, the less work its done in each.
The time is shared with all the work we do.At the end, the only currency I really care about and the only one I mine, for now, it's Burstcoin.
PS: I've started since yesterday helping these guys and have created those wallets, it doesn't take much time, knowledge or ram to run this so why not hehe. Will not be leaving them on 24/7 but still have them on from time to time ^_^
-
@socalguy Not devil advocate at all hahaha This questions should be answered so i will explain for the point of view i have... But First i will reply to your answers:
1 - We are trying to revive this coins because they could serve some extra services to BURST economy in the future...
2 - As far as i see is exactly the other way: BURST is so viable that the intention is to implement this services into BURST on the future raising the price and applications of both BURST and individually each of this coins.
3 - As far as i see, if this coins are up and running again, and the Atomic Cross Chains Transfers are up and running in all of these coins it will make BURST economy bigger than ever...
4 - This can be happening with some people but the most of people running this wallets should be doing it by now just for put the networks up and running again and because they are believing in this project and they believe that this will help all of the coins we are trying to make better...Now, here is my view about this:
If all this coins are up and running, what should take some time to accomplish due to BURST and QORA are the top priority coins on development, what will happen is that both BURST and QORA will be the central economy coins, all the others will be like companies that provide services and that operate inside that central economies (BURST and QORA)...
KORE and VIOR are both PoS coins that allow to make video and voice calls through VOIP, what is a really cool service that will provide calls and video-calls in a decentralized and secure way, this side by side with the cheap price that calls should be worldwide...
Imagine if you have BURST as a central economy and you have some of other coins providing extra services... This way is like each of this coins are like apps that will need money in there, so basically you will have to do a Cross Chain Transfer to this coins so you can use the service or you are stacking this coins at the same time, either way you are supporting both chains (BURST and whatever the coin you will have to use to make a cheap call by voice or video to Portugal for instance so you can talk with me xD) be for stacking the coins or by paying the cross chain transfer fees...
So to conclude this is a way of making Services have his own coins (all this kind of services have centralized parties that hold that coins like PlayStation Store, Android Store, Skype and all the other services provided when you have to pay something the companies have always your money in their hand) and a way of linking real life companies into Blockchains, including them into other coins making economies bigger and more stable! Basically if this services are decentralized the money should be in your power all the time so if you want your money back you just do the counter operation you made to put coins into the service you wanted to buy instead of "if you deposited you have to spend it"!
Again, i will say that this is what i think about all this matters and is the way i view things... I can't talk for everyone on the Team and i don't want to talk for nobody. This is just my opinion!
And @Zeus i agree with you that the more projects at the same time could misfocus people to develop different kind of things instead of focus on the top priority but it's exactly because of that that exist a priority list and there is a lot of developers on the Team, not just the ones that are mostly online... A lot of Developpers don't come online just for people don't arrass them with questions in order to they are able to put their efforts on the developping of the cool stuff we use... xD
I would like if @crowetic could tell us if this are the exact plans of the Team and if he share my vision about this wonderfull future i see happening here or if his vision for this projects are a little different!
Again BIG thanks to all for helping with this?!

OMG! The words are so numerous in this thread. Anyways, jack of all trades, master of none will be the effect of having too many projects at the same time.
But I still cant install the god damn wallets. My defender just auto delete them. :(
-
@jervis really? Hmm that is huge concern as wallets shouldnt trigger any warnings!
-
@jervis I'm running Qora, KoreCoin and Quotient, I didnt have any warnings from my defender or antivirus, really strange what you're having :/
-
runnin' 2 qora full nodes myself. crow helped me set the wallets up as nodes because i had no idea what the fuck i was doing :)
-
@jervis Yeah that is quite strange... I already set up all the wallets in 3 PC's and none of them raised any red flags of nothing xS
Just to make sure the defender you are talking is the Windows Defender? I have this turned off on my Windows so this can be where we are in a different page idk...
Regarding the number of words on this post: You already know me, when i intend to explain something in english things get messy so usually i use a lot of words to say not much LOL
Regarding the "jack of all trades, master of none" i don't agree because it's always very good to have a lot of applications for something we are creating and i would agree with you if it was only the same people working in all but there is not... There is different teams working on all this different things! It's possible that some dev's are working in multiple projects but i think the core of each project have different dev's!
EDIT: I am running all the 5 wallets in 2 different PC's!
-
yeah, it's windows defender. :(
-
@gpedro if your using windows 10 you cant turn off windows defender :) yo only think you turned it off but windows just turns it back on in couple minutes.
-
@LithStud I am on Windows 10 and it has my Windows defender turned off... Here is how to do it: http://www.windowscentral.com/how-permanently-disable-windows-defender-windows-10
-
If Burst had the size, the funds, the developpers and the time to be working on this kind of side projects I would totally agree with you @gpedro but I feel that at least for now the time and energy spent on those coins would be better used in Burst-related work.
-
@Gadrah_ agree with you mate!
Burst still have to grow
-
@BURSTguy @Gadrah_ @ccminer I feel your concerns guys but I just want to say that this other coins were not taken over recently, this happened months ago and I don't think the Team is wasting resources in this other coins because in reality we earned more Dev's with this taken overs because when this coins were taken over, Dev's come with it!
For example with the KORE coin, the KORE Team started working with the BURST Team and with the QORA Team. So basically taken over this coins allowed the Team to have more Dev's working with it.I don't think that the BURST Team is wasting resources in this other projects in any way...
The only thing that is new in this coins working within BURST is that someone (me and mikemike) asked for some help of the community in order for reviving this chains because one of them was almost lost last week and all the others had almost no peers, and now idk what to call this initiative we had, because some of you guys don't look happy for this inittiative but by other side some people helped and this chains are now with some more peers...
You guys didn't seemed troubled when @crowetic announced this partnerships some months ago, and i think you are forgetting that the BURST Team is a collaborative effort of a bunch of Development Teams that work inside Burst and inside their own projects!
Let me give you guys a pratical example:
@ccminer you developped the ccminer right?
Imagine you were still developing the ccminer software and someone on the BURST Team approach you in order for you to work with us... If you accept it doesn't make any sense that someone here asked you for put your project on holding to work for the Team right?
But now imagine you were stucked with the ccminer development and some other Dev in the Team had a way for you solve it, could it be by coding some lines or just by sharing his idea with you, you would not enjoy that help?
To this is called collaborative effort, not wasting resources of the Team in order for you to finish your development right?
At least this is how I look at this collaborations...Thanks for the ones that helped with this and hope you guys understand my opinion and that i can't speak for the Team, i just can speak for me and about how i feel about this projects!

@gpedro, well said !!
-
@Focus Thanks xD
-
@BURSTguy I could not have said it better, thanks.
-
@BURSTguy I am a bit more technician than you maybe.
But I agree with you 100%
too much QORA recently even in bitcointalk BURST thread, the last announcements were related to QORA, and honestly I could not care less
-
Thanks gpedro for putting this forum page together.
Awesome to be the beneficiary (for a change) of our Awesome BURST/KORE Team!
I am truly impressed and grateful of the response and sincere interest and efforts to help.
:-)
The last 7 months all these other coins were on the back burner awaiting honorable Coders while we all focused on BURST/QORA while I interviewed dozens of new Coders to find the two needed to restart these other coins projects.I welcome and see there are a few posts of concerns over these other coins and what that could mean for BURST/QORA and funding etc.and decided to include the answers to them in this one post.
Since I stay in the background I think it best to give a bit of history and introduction since I have been approached by people who have
joined the AltTech chat and some newcomers to the Team who signed the NDA and asked me what else I do besides be a greeter to those who join the chat and Team. I want to assure everyone associated and invested into BURST and QORA and the future they will bring that I have done nothing but be of a support to these two coins, mainly BURST,... and helped in every conceivable way I could to further them working with and beside Crowetic.
Feel free to ask Crow anything you wish concerning my and the KORE Team's involvement.Recently I have been told what I do is in the Executive end of things. I dont like that position nor word so will just say what I do.
I am an idea person, problem solver, vet potential Coders and Team Members, organize, direct skill sets to projects, work with talented graphics people on graphics, work with talented coders on websites and forums, try my hand adjusting code, try to help people with issues, do damage control, delegate People resources etc. am a watchdog for our end goals are some of the things I try to be of help in and frankly things are moving so fast with the further growing of Our Team with the collaboration of yet more Teams with their respective coins by Crow, it is hard to keep track of all the additional coins and projects and People which at this time I cannot mention.
The point is I can't even keep track so don't blame people not knowing who I am and what I do.
Hence, I drafted a Loyal Team Member a few weeks ago who will be organizing our vast assets in people, their skill sets, projects and coins they are working on etc.
and gave them a starting template to expand on. Many will soon be made aware via a questionnaire and look forward to this great aid to Crow and our projects.
Last month I was in CA and drove 9 hours to visit Crowetic in Reno for a few days.
The reason I visited is to evaluate my potential move to Reno to support the projects we all brought to the table.
Frankly, I cannot wait to get out there! I was supposed to move in August but need to tie things up here with my Business I had for over 20 years.
BURST, QORA, KORE, VIOR, XQN, GLOBE are the current "publicly known coins" list and there are many projects attached to them all.
Since the KORE Team asked Crowetic to join the KORE Team, collaborate on all our combined projects and sign the NDA
our main focus was on BURST and QORA for multiple evident reasons and some which I cannot mention. Only some on the Teams that signed the NDA are aware of what they are and still hope they will be integrated some time in the future.
Soon after Crowetic signed the NDA, agree we all work together where possible for the benefit of all our projects, potential merger of tech and ideas and even the giving over of certain ideas, planned businesses and tech to Crow as he is in a position to be the public representation of them and the merger of all our connections make it a good fit, the BURST Team seemed to be in a revival so we all mainly focused there. Another reason is BURST/QORA are in different languages so there is not much any Devs can do for our other coins and frankly nor do I want them if they dont have the time since BURST/QORA are first on the list of priorities.
The KORE Team brought many people into the BURST Community and helped in many ways, myself included.
The combining of the KORE Team project of AltTech/GLOBE and Crowetic's ideas and abilities birthed the AltTech Multiverse.
Soon you will see how this collaborative effort will involve all our coins and many others that are not ours.
The NDA and collaborative efforts is not forced, does not mean the people running those Teams and coins lose control or are forced to work on any projects or coins they do not want to.Crow and I had many meetings on the future of Crypto and where we would all like to see it and quickly realized
there can be no, "one coin to rule them all" and there will be multiple businesses attached to various crypto currencies/block chain tech.
We all realize many alts are forming Teams of Collaboration and we all view this as vital and necessary to work together.
What is different with those on all our Teams is for the most part, we all have the same honorable intentions and end goals
unlike what we saw "and still see" since the inception of alt coins.
Make no mistake, this is an uphill battle band surely worth the effort! In time people will see that and realize we are not of the scam coin P&D crowd.
All our projects are the real deal and living up to our promises, some made years ago is vital in proving who we are and what we intend to do.
The reason for some of these coins to exist is to create viable businesses to provide a stream of funding for all our other coins and projects,
BURST/QORA and tech included...
We have deliberately kept KORE, VIOR, XQN and GLOBE off the radar but there is obtainable evidence of tech attached to them if you spend the time to do the research.
We realize this was detrimental to the coins and Communities. I have always kept in touch with them letting them know there is a future
and when we come through it will be a testament to who we are and wen we say something we mean it. IT is now time to start rebuilding these other coins Communities and We/Crow included, appreciate all your incredible help! :-)XQN had its Dev IW/Incognitoworker need to step aside due to serious health problems and Family obligations so we have rebuilt the XQN Team recently and are
moving ahead with what we can add to the road map and possibly still include from the projects IW brought to the table. We are leaving the door open for IW.
VIOR is to be an LLC VoIP Gateway service to provide the needed gateway for all our coins wallets to make calls to regular phone numbers. Not just wallet to wallet addresses.
KORE is centered around security and privacy in its VoIP wallet to wallet calling, Internet, phone, .NET OS and other projects not able to mention.
GLOBE is another company that is centered around a business building/collaborative one stop shop in the formation of the AltTech Multiverse.
We have been using a portion of the AltTech Multiverse in the chat versions that will continue to evolve till where we want it to be.
https://alttech.chat/alttech/channels/town-squareWhat I should make clear at this point what I am asking is for help in reviving the network and chain strength by staking them 24/7 for the foreseeable future. Also for the help to "reason with Bittrex" to have VIOR opened up for trading again and for GLOBE to be relisted by submitting tickets and carrying on a conversation with them. I am not asking people get behind these coins and projects. They have been put on the back burner for awhile. I am doing all I can to find the Coders we need and it looks like I am getting close to finding them but I have been at this point many times. In time, Coder dependent, these projects/coins will prove themselves and if anyone at any time does their Due Diligence and/or has the time, capability or desire to help in any other way in the future they can decide to get involved to whatever extent they can. I just would like to provide more a basis and solid foundation first, such as new threads denoting a clean break from the old Devs, New OP pages and a new wallet release. These have been held back purposely due to the Coder situation described above. I hope this clears things up a little better.
In response to @BURSTguy
I agree fully with your perspective.
Some answers have been addressed above...
What I can tell you is Crow is working himself thin and needs a Team around him in an office.
As you may be aware I intend to move to Reno to support BURST and all our coins, projects and businesses just as I have since
Crow signed our NDA which is now the template and standard for all BURST etc collaborative efforts.
This creates a good measure of stability and security knowing those on the Team have doxed themselves. It would be ludicrous for me to explain how much potential is in the wings without the funding and enough people
with the proper skill sets and time to make them a reality so I will refrain.
I agree with you on the decentralized nature of BURST being critical to the success but don't discount QORA
as it has much to offer for BURST even so stay tuned.
You are correct in that the road map/future is not set and is actually evolving weekly.
It seems like this is a detriment but to the contrary it has been very beneficial for the future of BURST.
In time Crow will make known the facts. What I can say is the connections and collaborations Crow, a few by me and others
on the Teams are making even though they involve yet more Teams and coins then listed in this reply but also bring with them what is
needed for Crow to make BURST the success he intended it to be and more.Investors:
What we must do is set the record straight specially where funding is involved.
The Team has agreed that:
Any potential investor has the choice to say what projects they want to invest in.
If they say BURST, then it goes to BURST only.
Any income derived from any of our coins successes is considered for reinvestment to the next potential candidate
that takes the least for it to achieve the goals it has.
Crow has has many a thousand of dollars in investor funding slated specifically to BURST only and some that has
been slated towards these other coins projects. He is living up to the contracts and his word.Overlap:
What we realize is many Coins/and Teams of coins are in the pursuit of the same goals by the same and different means.
We realize the danger of the "one coin to rule them all" approach is having all your eggs in one basket
meaning there is a single point of failure.
There are also many languages people code in and the potential options those code bases and assets bring.
Where possible we will add other coins tech into BURST and the other coins and visa/versa.
This includes the cross chain transfers and other options that benefit all involved.People Resources:
I myself make it known to anyone involved in any BURST/QORA project that they come first.
Many from the KORE Team and other of our coins Communities have and are now involved intimately
with BURST in many ways and have been an asset to BURST.
What it comes down to is management and that is what we are working on. A solid Core of people and Teams.
There is a new economy emerging in crypto and BURST/QORA are at the center of it.
It allows people people all over the world to work on any project they like when they like.
Therefore decreasing the strain on businesses to carry employees and have access to a variety of talent.
We still realize the need to have a dedicated Team working beside Crow in his presence. Our Collaborative Future:
This is very fluid and one reason I never considered posting here about these other coins of our Teams in this BURST Forum.
We are figuring out how to give credence to each others projects, coins and resources. We have much planned once the projects come to reality thereby alleviating peoples fears of the mention of other coins etc in each others threads etc. Till then it will be more limited as it has been. One fact that helps is whatever success one has helps all others eventually. We will not lose focus on what the Communities expect from us.Some of our end goals are very evident to people with insight. Most will be made aware as they become a reality
and we are in a solid position to make them more public.Happy mining and staking.
Cheers!
:-)Most Sincerely,
MikeMikePlease Everyone, feel free to speak your mind and concerns and offer what you can to help us all change the future of Crypto!
