Possible Pool Code Idea
-
Would it be possible to have someone who knows Code look over the idea of maybe porting the code base to one of the bitcoin pools to maybe come up with a new pool software for Burst
Just an idea is all and wondering if it is possible
-
@Njcfamily31907 To do what exactly? Mine bitcoins with HDD?
-
No, to give us new Pool code and options that are on the BTC pools that are not currently in the burst pool software

Can you name some of those options? Sorry but i never mined BTC, i found crypto too late for that xD
-
im currently overhauling urays pool code. if you let me know some specifics ill look into this. ive mined bitcoin but dont have much of a clue on what features you mean.
-
@Lexicon Not Really Features but more along the Design Lines
Yes i may run a ninja code pool but i am not thrilled with the design of it
My Optimal design would be that each person after coming to the pool site and entering their mining address ( the one they plotted with ) that the only stats they would see is their own and the Current Shortest Deadline and that this info would continue to be displayed to them each time they returned to the site via a cookie file
because trying to sort through the current MESS of miners to find your own info can be a VERY LARGE HEADACHE
-
@Lexicon you understand at what i am getting at?
-
@Njcfamily31907 the design is highly customizable doing this is easily achievable. i have a planned feature that's upcoming after i've got some of the core functionality fixed. i was going to add a register and login screen so users can login and track their own stats and various other goodies
also set out payout thresholds and a button to request payment to save on tx fees.
is this similar to what your idea is?
-
@Lexicon not so much a register as no reason to do that but a login yes
the login can be done via a non password login, Like what surfbar does
but the other parts yea i like that idea
-
@Njcfamily31907 you see. i wanted to do the register part because typing in just a burst address to login would mean anyone could request for anyone's burst to be paid out. and would also mean they can set anyone's payout threshold.
perhaps having two options one without password that displays info. and if you use a password it allows you to set these thresholds and request payouts
-
@Lexicon Well since they would be unable to change the payout address i don't see a security issue with anything
Hell if someone changed my threshold from 500 to 5000 i wouldn't care but pools are not banks and payouts should have a max threshold of say maybe 2000 and no higher
-
@Njcfamily31907 if someone set your payout threshold to 10 burst. and you didn't notice. and you dont for a week. 10% of your burst would go out as transaction fees. provided you were getting 10 burst per block. thats how im thinking it could cause issues
-
@Lexicon true true
so the view only and the login to change setting idea sounds better
-
I tried before but let me know and I can tap my resources on btc pools
