burstcoin-jminer v0.4.10 - GPU assisted PoC-Miner (All Platforms)
-
@adams i think you are first user with OS on M2 drive so its a learning curve for us all.
-
@luxe luxe can you please update your jminer to work with the latest 378.49 Nvidia driver I've got some burst to send you as donation for this now if you can kindly provide an address to send it to, what size tip would you be happy with? Your miner is the only one that I can get to work, and the other miner developers seem to be vacant or unable to help with my issues. Cheers.
-
@BurstMiner1 I have no influence on the used java openCL lib, just using it. As soon they make a new version i will make new jminer version. Please check here:
https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/3762/how-to-setup-jminer-when-amd-and-nvidia-gpu-in-one-pc/10
Seams 372.70 version is working, so you have to switch back, until latest drivers are supported again by jocl.org (https://github.com/gpu/JOCL)
-
Update OP with driver info ...
NOTICE:
Latest GPU drives may have issues, NVIDIA 372.70 and AMD 16.11.5 are working.
If more up-to-date drivers are working, please post!
-
@luxe I see. Thanks for clarifying on that. I have no idea what you are talking about. Sending 2k Burst to your sig address for the service and support. Cheers.

I've been running this setup for about a month:
jminer 0.4.5
java 1.8.0_60 64-bit
nvidia driver 376.19
AMD APP SDK 2.9.1
win 10 PRO 64-bit
nvidia GTX 950

Hey luxe,
is there a way to set a deadline limit for the miner?
I am currently mining on a pool that has a high deadline limit and I don´t want to spam to much deadlines.
-
I use a lot of different ones and keep track of which ones find blocks. Start with 7 digits and see if you get any deadlines. If 7 digits yield a bunch of block info then increase to 8 digits. Now if you go to 9 digits and notice that your deadlines are 42 days then back it down a digit.
"TargetDeadline": 1000000,
"TargetDeadline": 10000000,
or
"TargetDeadline": 3000000,Some pools require it set and is noted here

Hey , I'm back in the game after about 2years (yeah i know...)
I was using blago miner at the time but it was bringing the cpus to their knees.
I'd like to mount back some rigs as I already have the drives , and i was wondering if using some dual core cpu with 4-8gig of ram would be enough to mine for about 35 Tb of drives? with a 1050ti as gpu?
i'll have to mount 2 rigs with 35Tb in each. The setup i was using before was an i5 and an i3 with 16gig of ram each but i sold those.Also, is 75Tb is enough to mine solo nowadays? if so how do I connect the 2 rigs to the same account? on blago miner one had to be solo and the other was set to pool mode using the solo rig ip address if i remember correctly , is that still the case?
Thanks a bunch to all of you :o)
-
@Daforce Sorry for late response, consider using @luxe next time, so i get notified.
Most pools provide a targetDeadline and you do not have to adjust this setting, however ... if a pool does not provide a targetDeadline on 'getMiningInfo' ... you can configure it via jminer.properties e.g.targetDeadline=200000This setting will only take effect if pool does not provide a targetDeadline.
-
@vince 75TB is fine for solo, ~2 blocks in average per day. You system should easy be able to handle that capacity.

burstcoin-jminer-0.4.8-RELEASE
Download:
https://github.com/de-luxe/burstcoin-jminer/releases
Updates:
- made the 'triggerServer' feature on solo mining optional and disabled by default
- no more 'Error: Failed to 'getUnconfirmedTransactions' to trigger server.' message on info
- improved chunkPartNonces calculation
-
thanks @luxe that's an improvement! and you're even quicker than I remember ;o)
for the solo with multiple rigs is it essentially the same configuration as in blago's miner? one solo mode and the other pool mode to the solo rig's IP?
-
@vince I suggest to find a way to attach all drives to one pc, as every additional pc needs energy ... investing in a controller may pay off ... beside that ... no sorry, jminer has no proxy feature, but if you plan to mine solo that is not needed anyway ... simply connect all miner instances to same wallet.
-
@luxe said in burstcoin-jminer v0.4.8 - GPU assisted PoC-Miner (All Platforms):
improved chunkPartNonces calculation
What does this mean in practice?
-
@Propagandalf Well surely the best, you read about it here:
https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/3600/part-calculation-algorithm-for-jminer
Basically it is a bugfix ... could have no or a huge effect (improve speed). Depending on your staggersize numbers.
-
@luxe OK, thanks. Just read it, a bit beyond my comprehension, but I'm looking forward to try it and see if it will improve read speeds on my miner. :)
Update: I tried the new version, but i was not able to detect better read speeds in my case, maybe a second of difference. I believe my staggersize was 4096 on most of the plots perhaps slightly higher on some, unoptimized plots.
-
@Propagandalf Has only influence on optimized plots anyway.
-
I am doing solo mining.
About one day ago, jminer output "Failed to 'getUnconfirmedTransactions' to trigger server". and do not start mining.What am I do?
P.S.
I set
targetDeadline=1000
-
@Hajime In jminer 0.4.8 this message only shows up on debug, and trigger server is deactivated by default ... this message has no influence on mining, just means your wallet could not return unconfirmed transaction in connectionTimeout time.
