N.E.W.S. Pool is now Live! (NEWS Asset Mining Pool Project)
-
@brancarlo 7Bh4C is the news Asset pool - don't know why it's sending to the wrong one. Same IP, different ports.
-
standalone miner (in my case blagos) works fine. Maybe something got srewy in wallets miners configs?
-
@LithStud it's possible - I have a headache from keeping straight different ports for different hosts, the News Pool vs. the NewSense pool ..... errors happen - we find them.
-
@haitch heh good thing its not my headache :P
-
@brancarlo hey bud, have you tried changing the ports in the config file as 7080? it usually works that way. Please check it out. :)

-
@jervis I am continuing having the same issue with the jminer and the Burst Client for Win Start mining option. But, thank you for reminding me to use the miner-v1.160705. The miner is working but I need to do some fixing first, I believe I'll be good to go for now, until I found the issue with the jminer. Thank you, bud!
-
@brancarlo if you can use dedicated tools best to use them :) at least thats my opinion :D
-
@brancarlo I can't say about jminer, I haven't used that yet. and the AIO, i dont use them. I just go manual these days. and also, when my computer restarts, it automatically mines through the manual blago miner. :)

Thank you for all the help!

N.E.W.S. Miners!
We have reached a census of 41 miners in the pool with a total of more or less 100 TB of total capacity of all miners in it. By next week, hopefully, NEWS Miner with 60TB more capacity is installed. Giving this pool a boost for mining and boost for income for all of the people mining also the shareholders.
This project can never go see its light without each and everyone's effort. For NEWS Shareholders, thank you for acquiring N.E.W.S. asset shares. You have given the biggest contribution for this asset's developing success. For pool miners, without you, there would be no activity in the pool. You came in your own accord and stayed with us for a week or two now. I hope you will stay forever with us and bring in more miners if you find that this pool is good to you and your income.
Shareholders and prospects, if you would, please let me insert an advisory here about the NEWS Asset. We only have so much shares left (40k) for sale before we close and re-assess the asset's inventory and valuation. By that time, the open market will come in, please refer to this link for more info: https://news-asset.com/2016/11/08/n-e-w-s-letter/. Thus, the value of your shares will likely go up in the interim. Giving you more income aside from the dividends that we distribute. :)
The sales of the remaining shares will be used to buy more capacity for our mining rig to complete our mining pool project, please refer to: https://news-asset.com/2016/10/29/n-e-w-s-asset-mining-pool-project/, and some for the other components of N.E.W.S. which you all so know about; for prospects, please refer to our website to learn more: https://news-asset.com
With the trend of the trade market right now going down, as you have all noticed, a good foundation in a mining rig is a big wall to lean on. Fortunately, this is a dynamic asset that balances out other component's shortcomings to give out a better income for its shareholders. We have two mining rigs for ETH/ZEC and Burst. We will persevere even though hardships may fall upon the trade market.
Thank you very much everyone!
Happy Bursting!

BLACK FRIDAY and N.E.W.S. MINING POOL PROJECT:
Hi Bursters!
The N.E.W.S. Mining Pool Project is going perfectly well. We already have shipment of Hard drives incoming and the pool running 24/7 and has already forged 125,879 Burst worth of blocks in its very early inception, which I think is already generating a fair amount of income for our miners and shareholders in the pool (we give out 90% of earnings from the pool fees to miners and shareholders: https://news-asset.com/n-e-w-s-asset-pool-burst/)
So what about the Black Friday and why is it important for the NEWS Mining Pool Project?
Well, as we have stated in our NEWSLETTER:
"Buying equipment when able works, but it’s terribly inefficient. We’re losing money on shipping fees, time lost, setup, by buying piecemeal. Not big losses, but this is basically wasted resources that could go to asset holders in the form of dividends. (ie. Paying $10 for shipping one component, and then paying another $10 shipping next week to buy another component, when they could have been bought at the same time and saved on the second $10 shipping, etc…)."We are planning to get more Hard Drives for the project on Black Friday week (November 21 to November 25) when there's discounts given by Amazon/Newegg and have them shipped in bulk for efficient usage of funds. Thus, paired with the price of Burst in the market today being low versus bitcoin, it would be a great opportunity to empty out the sell orders left of NEWS Asset and start the open market in the Asset Exchange in this period. It's like hitting a lot of birds with one big rock.
I see this proposal makes sense. However, it all depends on how you (shareholders and prospect investors) see this opportunity.
Thank you for your confidence and continued business.
Happy Bursting Everyone!

Hello NEWS Miners!
Next payout for our pool will be on November 19, 2016 at approximate 6 PM EST. It will be 60% of all pool fees paid by miners. For example, all miners have paid 10,000 Burst for the week's worth of mining then 6,000 Burst will be given back to all miners in the pool. We are the only pool at the moment which offers this to our miners. And this is not just a promotion, this is the core structure of NEWS Asset mining pool. Meaning, this is the way this pool works as long as people are mining here.
The amount is still not that great since we are still a handful of miners, but if all of us are happy with what this pool has to offer and convince our friends to mine with us here, we will grow and more income will come our way.
NOTE: For NEWS Asset shareholders, please read this newsletter: https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/1284/ann-the-n-e-w-s-asset-launch/284
Thank you very much.

I'm using burst client for Windows 0.3.3.2 wallet and miner, and I don't see this pool in the choose pool list. Do I need to update my client. And how do I do that?
-
@Maddog22 please update to latest version. If you still can't connect, please follow this guide for manual connection: https://news-asset.com/how-to-join-the-mining-pool/

Hi guys,
I'm sorry for the delay in sending the earning for this week. I can't connect to my wallet right now since I'm away from my computer. It will be later tonight or early tomorrow morning. Thank you for understanding.

Hi NEWS Miners:
Finally, the wallet has been able to send the bonus for all mining in the pool as what is stated in our pool's core model. NEWS gives out 60% of all the pool's earnings to all miners.

-
@evilfire hey bud. go manual. go to your folder the miner. and changed the port to 7080. Please refer here: https://news-asset.com/how-to-join-the-mining-pool/
-
hi @jervis , what's the difference between port 7080 and 8124?
I received a notice in my miner that the reward recipient address does not match, and was directed to SoCalGuy's wallet, and the pool address using port 8124.I'm lil bit confused about this matter? Is this the same pool as yours?
