Plotting with GPUs paired with crossfire
-
I have no experience using crossfire, so I wonder: Can plotting with two GPUs connected with crossfire be beneficial for the plotting process?
-
@Propagandalf It would depend on the algorithm used by the GPU plotter, you would need to ask the author of the GPU plotter for that information.

I have 3 r9 280x gpus and gpuplotgenerator crashed spectacularly when run in crossfire, but ran at 20,000 nonces/s without xfire.

Not sure about crossfire but you can use multiple devices for plotting, just add to devices.txt ...

@luxe @altcryptomining @iKnow0 Thanks, folks!

Luxe, do you happen to know what speed they should plot at? (eg, r9s or 750ti etc) like do you know of a benchmark list? If not, I may get one up and running.

The bottleneck will be your hdd write speed, not the gpu ... but you can plot to multiple drives at once.
R9 280x is like ~90000 nonce per minute
