Plot optimizer tool not working

Yesterday I tried using the plot optimizer tool with a GUI. I entered the path to the unoptimized file, and then the path to where I wanted to optimized file to be saved. I also entered amount of RAM to use and pressed 'Optimize'. However, nothing happened at all. Pressing the button simply has no effect. Had anyone else had this issue?

So, according to that, I will try to use the optimizer manually. Still, it would be nice to find out why the GUI doesn't work.
