5 000 Burst, one for each banner. 10 000 total.
10 000 Burst for the bottom one.

To put a little perspective on the auction and rates - Google was paying around 10,000 Burst/Day for the ads on the forums. :-)
Hey, when i started the bidding at 1k i didn't say that was what the ad spaces were worth :P
Someone needed to kickstart that baby :)

Beat me!
@jervis is still winning the sidebar banner as he offered 70k, I think that now you are winning the bottom banner.
-
As much as i want the spot, I want Burstize to earn a lot this month. :)
-
@Zeus Sorry, didn't see that. 10 000 Burst for the bottom one.
-
11'000 Burstcoins for the bottom ads
-
Folks, Google was paying us 10,000 Burst/Day to advertise on this site. 10,000. per. day. I've double checked the auction rules, and I don't see anything preventing me bidding on the auction - so I'll put up 70,000 for the side bar for two weeks.
Now, who's available to hire for advert design ?

wow 10,000 per day? Okay, I want to bid 70,000 for the side ad for two weeks (14 days) then :)
@haitch this was my bid 4 days ago. XD
-
@jervis - ooops - my bad, I need to review the todate bids better before I try and out bid .......
I change my bid to 70K for the footer then.
Current leading bids:
Side Bar: Jervis - 70K Burst
Footer: Haitch - 70K BurstRemember folks, the ad can be for anything I'll okay - and over a 2 week period you can expect 4-500,000 page views - ad views.
auction closes 12PM Saturday 10/29 Central Time. (Ignore typo in initial post - its Saturday 10/29)
-
@haitch If you put it up for auction again, I will try my best to get the side bar. I can't do it this auction, as I'm not sure if I can create my project on time. That was also the reason behind my low bid.
; )

Well, you guys have won the spot, I won't compete for that amount. Maybe next time ^_^
-
In two weeks the race begins again for another two weeks. Let's see how it evolves.
-
wouldn't it be better for the side bar ad to run as you scroll up and down? Just a thought. :)
-
@jervis This forums software has two big flaws in my opinion:
- it has not so much structure as other forums, therefore it is very dynamic and responsive, which I love.
- it is famous for being really bad for implementing advertisements
-
I just noticed that when we click on the unread posts, we are readily brought to the end of the thread. Thus, making the side bar unseen. :(
-
@jervis I know - wish it would follow the page - any PHP programmers who can fix the issue, I'll pay a bounty for it.
-
@haitch isn't that something build with JS? I though the forum was built over NodeJS, and it seems that the sidebar moves in javascript.
-
@Zeus You're correct - my mistake - the forums are built on node.js - the sidebar moves, but not properly, and on longer threads doesn't display at all.
-
@haitch is that a plugin? Where I can find the source? @daWallet is right, it seems that the forums default way are not that great with ads :P maybe you're using a plugin?
