Also note that if you run out of sata 3 ports on your motherboard you can pick one of these up instead of settling for slow USB 3.0

@AngryChicken thanks man :) i was looking for something like that :) are they reliable?
-
In practice not much speed difference between SATA 3 & USB 3. I run exclusively USB 3 as they seem cheaper and you don't run out of room in the case.

@RichBC are you using external drive cases or external HDD? as is internal HDD is way cheaper :)
-
@LithStud I am using USB 3 External Drives. 5TB Toshiba Canvio. In the UK these are the cheapest I can find new Drives £ / TB. Would love there to be a cheaper solution but I can't find one :-)

@RichBC see for me 4TB is worth about 70euros (that how much i plan to pay for one, afcourse its second hand but gonna be in very good shape, still dont know the model but if its of slower kind i might be able to get even better price). Buying completly new HDD for me is just too insanly expensive :(
-
@LithStud The 5TB Drives are £105 GBP delivered with 2 Year Warranty.

@RichBC thats alot, at least for me its like 4th of what i get paind monthly so i trie to minimize costs whenever possible :)
-
Yes your 17 Euro / TB is better than my 23 Euro / TB and I guess I could find some second hand drives on ebay but I quite like having a warranty and as we all know the great thing about Burst is that a Drive, unlike an ASIC Miner, always has a resale value. :-)

indeed :) as i said i am fairly confident i will get good quality HDD :) new ones with warranty and such sure is nice but those are for future... maybe :D
-
@LithStud About the IO crest expansion card it's as reliable as they come really. As long as it was handled properly during shipping

@AngryChicken thanks good to know
