i have just started mining . could one of you lovely people tell me how i can check my deadlines are being received by the pool ? i left the miner running for 24 hours and i had quite a few deadlines while i was monitoring it, although i didnt have the recommended avx miner running. does it make any difference what miner i use ?
-
@JunglEDoN Hey, what is the size of your plots and on which pool are you mining ? The "found DL", "sent DL" and "confirmed DL" are what you want to have on your miner, it means you submitted a deadline.
On the difference between AVX and standard :
@iKnow0 said in Difference between default, AVX and OpenCL mining:
AVX stands for Advanced Vector Extensions, a fancy way to say a CPU has extra inbuilt commands. If a CPU has this option it can run the miner code in a faster way than the standard. OpenCL refers to the (Java GPU Miner: jMiner). Since this uses the GPU as well as CPU it is the faster of the three miners.

thank you . @Gadrah_ i am mining on this team us pool. so if i have confirmed deadlines i should be earning coin right ? i have only just set up with 1.2tb but will intend on upping that to at least 20tb in the next few weeks. i did receive about 11 coins a few days ago while i was trying to get my head around it all . i half expected to see coins come my way when i came home today. thank you again for the explanation of the miner types. much apreciated

a few more dealines since i relaunched the miner a while ago
when i check my wallet through burstcoin.biz it show only the 11 coin mined from the other day
-
@administrators any help would be greatly appreciated
-
@JunglEDoN Once you have won a block with the fastest deadline, you will receive Burst. Payouts will occur once you have received 300 Burst or when the 24hrs cycle is done. Which ever comes first.
If you are on a ninja pool, winning a block will be displayed in the center column and will look like this.

@socalguy thanks for that . so would the mined coins not generate against my wallet address until the 24 hours have passed ? sorry what i mean is do they show up when i check my wallet address in the chain before they actually show up in my wallet ? if that makes sense
-
@JunglEDoN @JunglEDoN Look at http://pool.burst-team.us/ Then find your Miner in the Historic Shares Column. You will see something like 10D + 11 which would indicate that you have Mined and had transferred to your Wallet 11 Burst and that 10 Burst were Deferred awaiting payment which will either happen when they get to 300 or after 24 Hours.

@RichBC cheers pal ! that has helped me out immensely !! i can now see i have a few coins deferred ! just about got all i need sussed ! well until there is something else i don't quite understand ha ha
thank you again Brother

@JunglEDoN Also 1.2 TB is quite small to mine on pool.burst-team.us, that's why you are not submitting deadlines for every block. You'll be good when you will have your 20 TB, but in the meantime I'd suggest another pool. Take a look at the recommended plot sizes on this spreadsheet : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1KHu9BWwy_QXIYAx2m_Tzs9BqPoTYUDhEDbHihZEXGsE/edit#gid=81124645

@Gadrah_ thank you for that info ! i will re assign util i get my other drives . i may of just done a deal on a server and NAS chasis that they were gonna throw away at work. that 20tb may be more like 80 in a few week :)
-
@JunglEDoN Wow that's great ! Good luck with that :)
-
@Gadrah_ quick question before i let you go ! :)
i have just re assigned my reward and started the miner. i have hit 2 consecutive blocks with dl's but its saying the reward assignment does not match that of the pool. do i just wait for the 4 blocks (16mins) or do i have to replot my drives ? sorry if its a dumb question but i am a bit dumb when its comes to this at the moment
-
@JunglEDoN Legitimate question, no worries :) When you change reward assignment, you just have to wait 4 blocks before you can mine again, no need to replot anything ! Just let the miner running open, it will resume mining once the 4 blocks will be mined (approximately 16 min) and the error should disappear.
-
@JunglEDoN Best way to manage a Pool Change is to do the Reward Assignment to the new pool but leave the Miner configured and running on the old pool, that way you don't loose out. Then as soon as you get the error saying the assignment is wrong (usually after 4 blocks) Stop the Miner and restart with the parameters set for the new Pool. No re plotting needed, else no-one would ever change pools....
