BURST roadmap site released! (outdated - 2016)
-
Hello everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know about the new BURST roadmap website. This is the place you'll be able to find all new information about BURST, and what the team is currently working on...
Thanks!
Currently I myself am working on the new BURST community cloud, listed in the roadmap. There are a few remaining hurdles to overcome before I'll feel confident releasing the site, however, it is already very functional, and I feel like the applications there will be of great use to people. Can't wait to release that.
Also, the 'Decentralize Your World' campaign has a website in development, and a new collaborative team in formation including the QORA developers. This project is very ambitious, and its goal is to decentralize and encrypt everything. There is a lot in discussion there, it is a fairly new project, but there's a lot going on.
Can't wait to give more info! Thanks!

Thanks a lot for your efforts.
As far is i understand, your 'cloud' service will be file hosting that can be paid with burst?
So it is kind of product that your company offers?
Does that really belong to a burst roadmap?
Don't get me wrong, i like the point that you want to offer services, that can be paid with burst.
But it feels like you mix two things here.
-
That service isn't MY service, that is one I'm building for BURST specifically. It will be BURST focused, and contain all BURST related information, as well as the ability to do file sync and storage, and have a central location for you to keep your contacts, bookmarks, etc.
It isn't my cloud, that's a completely separate thing.

@crowetic Any updates to the BURST community cloud?
-
Hello, I'm new here!
What project is being awaited by the community burst? It would be mobile mining?
Any prevision?
-
@ricellicarvalho Hey, I am working on BURST Browser: www.burstbrowser.com
Welcome to the community :)
Any questions, feel free to ask them :)-JackManMania

@JackManMania Thanks for answering my question. Where accompany the projects to be developed?
-
@ricellicarvalho Sorry I do not understand.
-
@crowetic Please add updated RoadMap

@Castiel This will be good :D

I think we want another Interview between @crowetic & @AdamGuerbuez on this topic.

Any plans for a Burst Hardware Wallet?
-
How about one of those hardware wallets that have a mechanism that has to be switched once to be able to withdraw
-
@ZapbuzZ Use paper instead of machines.
If you really need a machine where you switch it on to spend, use Ubuntu in a VM or -even better- get yourself a Raspberry PI (or equivalent) for a cold wallet for a cost of ~35$.
In any chosen scenario to protect your wallet, always have Paper wallet as backup.

There is no "wallet" that you have to guard like in Bitcoin, your stuff is protected by passphrase and by passphrase only. Everything is on the blockchain, just not your secret. So, backup your passphrase(s) on paper. That is a good idea anyway, computers die. Usually at the point in time when it hurts the most.

@vaxman if you say so :)

Roadmaps are so 2014. Every dev here knows what has to be done or should be done sooner or later.
Deadlines takes away the freedom for independent devs to be creative without pressure.
If someone wants to make a "global changelog" style webpage what has been achieved so far in a timeline, I would appreciate that.
