What is deadline?
-
Why my miner always shows 'No deadline"?

While mining, your plots get checked for their deadlines, if no deadline was found, that is below given target from pool. Miner will show that message.
-
Thanks. But I am absolutely new and a dummy. Pl. be so kind to advise what should I do in this case, stop mining? change pool or else?
-
@snowbird - no deadline means that you didn't find a deadline that met the pools requirements.
Don't solo mining - add more storage to mine with. I have a miner with 500GB - most of it's deadlines are in measured in days/weeks/months - but I also got a 2 minute deadline I was beaten on,. More space dedicated to Burst means better deadlines, unless you hit a really lucky break. You're in a lottery where your ticket is how much space you're dedicating to Burst, vs. the currently 4,000 TB of lottery tickets other people will win with. More space = better chance.

I have a 2 TB external drive. I followed the video instruction. isn't it enough? Or is it the slow internet connection?
-
Ok, what pool you are mining at? Are you sure you are mining the 2TB? Does the miner show that?
Choose a pool that accepts high deadlines, not ninja.

I am using http://pool.burst-team.us/.

I told you I am a dummy ! just discovered I was using only 1 Gb of my 2TB drive. That's why it was plotting in only 5 minutes ! After your advice I checked and set it to 1 TB. Now it should work. Thanks!

Hi, my plotting was just interrupted unintentionally. I am doing it again but will it start from the begining or some data are saved in the disc so they don't have to be repeated?
-
No, as far as i know plotting software can not continue a interrupted plot, i suggest you plot multiple smaller files to not have this issue again.

If you don't mind me asking, then someone can make multiple plots on a single drive is that correct?
-
@abooluqmaan Yes, no problem with multiple plot files on a single drive.

I used a 2TB drive but only 500 gb has been plotted, why?
-
Guess because you configured it to use 500GB ... or plotting was somehow interrupted.
No big deal just add more plotfiles ...
-
my drive is plotted and I am mining but my makeplot.bat is missing. I've searched in my external harddrive burst folder and also in roaming folder. what to do? without that file I cannot follow the youtube instruction!
-
@snowbird I'm not sure which plotter you are using, but you could always download the all-in-on (AIO) wallet from here and try using that: https://sourceforge.net/projects/burstwindowswallet/files/latest/download?source=files. It has an integrated cpu plotter and miner(s) and is easy to use.
EDIT
https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/179/quick-guide-to-the-aio-wallet-plotter-miner here are the instructions for the AIO wallet/plotter/miner.However, if you start using different plotters and miners you might mix up things unless you know what you are doing.

I am using burst wallet version 0.2.5 and upgraded to 0.2.7. I suppose this is the aio all in one. first I used the online wallet but now using local wallet. while mining it gives the message in red "file mismatched" always. should it be like that or I am doing something wrong?
I also don't get whether I am making any coins. my balance does not go up.
I need to understand this data:
Recent Blocks
Height Date Amount + Fee # TX
243494 6/22/2016 20:41:57 0 + 0 0
243493 6/22/2016 20:40:16 2'270'091.19096799 + 4 4
243492 6/22/2016 20:33:48 11 + 3 3
Very sorry, but I am trying really hard to understand going through the websites. Pl help !

one of your plot incomlete, ignore it
my balance does not go up
be patient, pool send your balance after 24 hrs or every 300 burst
Height Date Amount + Fee # TX
Height = number of block
Date = Date
Amount = sum of all transactions in current block
Fee = sum of all fee in current block
TX = number of transaction

Thanks a lot.
