How to Plot with 2 Pcs of HDD in one PC

  • Hello admin. can i add another Drive and Plot it in 1 PC? so i can add more drives as possible in a single Computer, so i can boost!:)

  • sure u can :) i have just added another 1Tb drive to my system.. no problem at all! just remember to add a new path in the folders! so that the miner know where to look

  • How do you add a new path?

  • ADD K so change

    "Paths":["F:\Burst\plots","I:\Burst\plots","G:\Burst\plots","H:\Burst\plots","E:\Burst\plots","J:\Burst\plots"],
    to

    "Paths":["F:\Burst\plots","I:\Burst\plots","G:\Burst\plots","H:\Burst\plots","E:\Burst\plots","J:\Burst\plots","K:\Burst\plots"],

    The Burst Windows Client Plotting+Mining was made by @daWallet to make it easier for John Doe to get started with Burst.
    If you want to mine on multiple machines with multiple drives, i suggest to learn use plotter and miner software without the help of this. Nobody can do it for you, there is a lot of information out there ... start research :-)
    Good place for that to get started: https://forums.burst-team.us/category/9/burst-software

    When you put a new HDD in your Computer, you simply need to click on "Start Plotting" in the AIO Win Client and select the new drive and plot it.

    After plotting you can start mining. The software will find all plots that are in X:\Burst\plots\ folders. So the limit for the client are 26 drives per machine. If you use two different machines, I suggest you use another Account ID for each, because of the limitations of the Win Client.
    If you do everything by hand, plotting and mining config -> see videos, you won't have any limits.

  • @tross @daWallet or any knowledgeable person.. so to be clear if I want to add another hdd to my mining I would just assigned it as a different drive correct? Then do I have to worry about the nonces overlapping from the initial drive that was plotted?

    Also I am mining via online wallet will the miner software that sets everything up include both drives for mining once the 2nd one is plotted?

    Please advise.

  • @abooluqmaan - You don't have to worry about overlapping with Burst Windows Client. It takes care of overlapping by assigning unique starting nonces for each drive letter. You can always manually check for overlap as below.

    File name of plot is in below format
    <address><startNonce><noncesNumber>_<staggerSize>

    Open excel create two colums

    StartNonce EndNonce
    <StartNonce> <StartNonce> + <NoncesNumber>
    {Do this for all other files you have}

    This way you can make sure none are over lapping, if overlapping you need to re-plot i guess, not sure if there is way to fix this without reploting

    Also for HDD when adding a new drive assign the next drive letter, don't change existing drive letters, so that the plotter does not create overlaps
