Burst Client for Windows v0.3.9 - All in One: Wallet, Plotting & Mining

Ah, also this is "javascript error" I mentioned above. I'm not sure what is the English name of the error message because I'm not using English Windows version.
-
@moonjeina
uninstall the 32-bit java
then re-boot,
then install the 64-bit java https://www.java.com/en/download/windows-64bit.jspReport back if you are still having issues after that.

The javascript error is caused by old IE versions. Run windows updates and patch to the latest version of everything.

@iKnow0 Now it worked without any problem. Thank you so much. :)
@haitch I'm using IE 11, the latest version available for Windows 7. However wallet working properly despite of that tiny annoying yes/no question window. :)
-
@moonjeina You are welcome, happy Bursting!

@daWallet The wallet is a false positive to some antivirus scanners including avast, avira, kasperskyand mcaffee. It shows a warning while downloading and the macaffe plugin warns. This could keep new users from the coin: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/cf26531d1f6ae462e58ff21076dbecdf104d1822fb02ce8691835d063ba774fc/analysis/1497444306/

you can have both versions
Control Panel/Programs/Java - Tab Java- click View to see what vrsion u have....
-
And today I get "Your local wallet hasn't started yet. It can take up to 10 minutes to start up. Try it again later." again. :)
The only reason I install wallet is to be a node for the network, not for personal wallet use.
-
@moonjeina after less than a minute if zou click again in the local wallet it'll start, providing the DB is not corrupt.
-
I got the "Chromium Edition" almost ready in the shelf since months. The problem is to support and maintain both versions in parallel... :-/
The Chromium Edition is over 100 MB big instead of the 30+ MB we have now.
-
@vExact I forgot to mention, it says that for hours. :) For example I tart wallet now, wait 10 mins, 20 mins, 1 hour, 5 hours.. Doesn't matter how long you wait, always same message.
But I found the solution. I start "run.bat", then I use Chrome to login 127.0.0.1:8125 address instead of wallet software.
-
@moonjeina yes, basically that's the same process the AIO wallet is intended to do :)
-
But downloading blockchain gets interrupted randomly. I'm not sure but it can caused by my country internet policy.

Hey guys I am getting this weird error when trying to install this on Windows 10. During installation it says that an error occurred when trying to rename a file in the destination directory. This happens twice. If skip the two files then I can not run the client GUI. I can run the .bat file and then connect to the local wallet using an internet browser. Any ideas on how to fix this?
-
@lilkovs probably is your antivirus... I have been having issues lately as well with the client, and can not getting running unless I deactivate my antivirus. For the time being I am using the browser local wallet a well.

There may be another thread on this somewhere, but I'm wondering about another Win10 issue -> auto-reboot. This does not affect all versions of Windows, but it's very annoying - and quite difficult /complicated to turn off. Win10 will download an Update and then, later force the PC to Reboot (with no off option), thus f'in up your long-running Bust-Plot etc. Apart from going Linux, do the playas here have any smart solutions to this irritation?
-
The included plotter is able to be restarted...just not from the AIO interface.
-
@vExact Can't believe I forgot to check the antivirus haha. I checked everything else I could think of besides it. Sure enough turned it off for a second and the burst client installed perfectly. Also added it to the trusted list, and I have no problems starting it up now. Thanks you :)

Not sure what you mean. I don't think the disable option is available (native) for Windows-10 Home/Pro. Thou there maybe some hacks - eg [ https://superuser.com/questions/957267/how-to-disable-automatic-reboots-in-windows-10/ ]
Don't know about the Enterprise versions - Business users MUST be able to turn off auto-reboot. Thou the OS costs a lot more of course. MS just doesn't trust regular punters.
