Not seeing myself in pool.
-
@gpedro I setup my old laptop computer and I plotted around 400GB to mine.
And with where I guess you mean on what website, and I use this and the guide I read.
-
Also I am seeing now and then Walet reported no deadline. and after that Could not get mining info from Node. Will retry.. and then it goes back to normal
-
Please use one of the other pools such as pool.burstmining.club or pool.burstcoin.biz or pool.burstcoin.eu
-
@Focus Ok, but can you go more in depth on why? What makes the pools you listed better or why should I change to exactly them?
-
Well the ones I listes are the more common ones and easier to use.
-
@Focus Any tutorial on how to setup my machine to use these pools?
-
-
@Focus Thanks for the link, even tho I really can't use them since I run a Linux OS.
-
ok, start by setting the reward recipient to one of those pools. Then configure the linux miner file to use it. Wait 4 blocks for the change to take effect
-
@Focus Ok, thanks. Can you tell me what the address is for this pool, I would guess it should be pool.burstcoin.biz:8124 or is that wrong?
-
BURST-6WVW-2WVD-YXE5-EZBHU
-
@Focus Yes, I know that. I have already assigned the reward recipient to that, and I am waiting for the 4 blocks. But I need a address for the miner. Which is a URL.
-
@poke you have to delete the port from the URL and put the port in the specified place...
You should get this:
"Mode" : "pool",
"Server" : "pool.burstcoin.biz",
"Port": 8124,
-
Again I am using Linux with a command line, not a file. And the command needs a address and then the plots. Like so
./mine pool.burstcoin.biz:8124 ./plots/
-
@poke oh sorry i don't know much about linux but you already tried with the "http://" prefix ?
-
@poke said in Not seeing myself in pool.:
Again I am using Linux with a command line, not a file. And the command needs a address and then the plots. Like so
./mine pool.burstcoin.biz:8124 ./plots/That worked, but with this new pool I don't even know who I can see if I am in it. And also still no deadline.
-
Ok, can this be a problem. The line says # MB read/# GB total/no deadline would this mean that it is trying to read the hard drive with a specific amount of MB per seconds and the GB total is how many GB it has gone trough? If this is the case then it never gets up to the 400GB I have plotted.
But this theory also seems kinda weird since the MB read goes up according to GB total. So again I don't really see any problem...

hello everyone,.,. im new to this forum site,.,. hope i learned from here many was going to teach me the tricks on how to make money without no cost
-
@poke Glad it solved the first problem! Now I don't understand your problem... xD like i said i don't know nothing about linux but if you are mining with 400Gb you will not get many DeadLines and you will only appear in the pool webpage after one of your deadlines be accepted by the pool...
@kerby Hi there and welcome... if you have any doubts just make a post in the help section and someone will help you... Here the comunity is really helpfull!!!
-
@kerby Welcome to Burst! We are here to help. :)
Making Burstcoins is not completely free. There is cost associated with it. However, it's very small compared to what it takes to mine Bitcoin and other coins out there.
Take some time to look around the forum and check out the "How-To" area for some awesome videos regarding how to get started.
Oh, and try to create your own topic. Posting comments in other topics not related to the that topic can cause the thread to get confusing.
Happy Mining!!
