Yes... it's right what you are doing. The CPU gets hot only during plotting, not during mining.

I can recommend pool.burst-team.us for you. But it depends on your taste.
burst.ninja is only for big miners - you won't be happy there.

Hi kababayan. Newbie here too. Got prob with this last night. I think that's the reward assignment submitted. A burst will be taken from you as fee if it was successful. Then you can start mining by clicking, as I can remember, mining default and it will start to mine. Hope am right.

That's normal. Keep in mind you'll get an error when trying to mine before the assignment is confirmed in your transaction tab. If you wait it out the error code will go away.
