Plot file questions
-
Hello fellow Burstminers!
Im currently plotting some drives to mine burst and a few questiosn came to mind:
1- Are plot files movable between drives within the same computer? Meaning i have 2 HDD and 1 is plotted. But I want to move the plotted data to the other hdd. Will that Work?
2- Can I plot an external drive in one Computer and then connect it to another computer to mine directly?
Thank you ¡

@Burstminer Hi mate!
- Yes
- Yes again (also an internal one)
-
great!
A couple more questions:1- Can I rename plots to organize them better?
Thanks!
-
@Burstminer Sorry:(, that's not possible: first and second numbers (respectively numeric account id and starting nonce) are directly linked with plot file content and modifying these cause problems in mining process, so it don't make sense; the third and fourth numbers (number of nonces and stagger size) can be modified only in particular cases (usually due to a plotter crash): for this check out last post of plots 101

So in theory I could: Use the GPU plotter and plot 10TB in a supercomputer with super high end speeds ( exaggerating), once they are done I could upload the plots a server download to my computer and start plotting?
Cheers,

@Burstminer If you mean "start mining" instead of "start plotting" the answer is absolutely yes! :)
-
Yes I meant start mining lol :)
So why don't we sell plots or plotted drives all in one easy setup :)
-
@Burstminer I tihink that's actually a great idea!

@Burstminer It's a good idea of course. We have only to structure a competitive system, but maybe it's possible... :)
