IceBurst Mining Asset - Status

  • It just went out, it's lower than I like but that's because there was a change to the mining. There will be an up tick for the next dividend I expect. I'm also playing with some new "toys" to see if I can generate some extra coins.

  • Hi Ice! Wanted to know: Still mining BTC or alts? Cause if its BTC, the next payout maybe 'ill be good :D

  • Welcome to 2017

I just paid out the last DIV that was for Dec 16->Dec31 of 2016. As predicted it was much better than the first half of the month. Full payout log is here: http://pastebin.com/ykWRcWCi

    Lets Talk about 2016
We started on Sept 1 with a Single GPU on a Motherboard laying on the Floor and mined our first Alt-Coin to get some BTC. Initially we paid once a month and realized no one likes to wait for money so we changed the payouts to Bi-Monthly. We constructed and built a full blow mining rig that took into account energy to be as efficient as possible with those dirty alt coins. We looked at some ASICs and Solar power both of which could never RoI on paper so we didn't invest. Our path for 2017 is clear clone our success of 2016.

    Year in Review

    Initial offer Price: 50Burst (Sept 1, 2016)
    A/E Market Value: 72 Burst (Dec 31, 2016)

    Total Mined: .75BTC (75m Satoshis)
Total Dividends: 236K Burst (RoI 7.07% APY)
    Current Investors: 28

We welcome 2017 with open arms.

  • Fantastic management of your asset is showing through happy new year and may great things come to IBmining

  • Update to my asset holders,

January payments will be delayed, I'm traveling internationally for an extended period of time to a location where I don't speak the language and I have no idea if I will have internet. There may be only a single payment at the end of the month so please don't freak out when I "miss" the Jan 15th payout.

    Thanks,

    -IceBurst

  • Hi there @IceBurst , how the things are going? Any news when this asset will be back at full potential? :D

Why yes there is. I'm going to post additional information with the next dividend. We are taking slightly different position and I'll explain it all, but to answer investors questions, Dividends will be paid out the end of the month.

    Thanks,

    -IceBurst

  • @IceBurst do you have an exact date so i can update the assets calendar?

I also will be announcing a change to the program in the next week that I find very compelling and Utopian. I am under going some beta testing with a new platform.

  • @IceBurst Thanks, just updated the calendar. Good luck with the new platform

  • Update to Asset Holders,

I want to share many of my observables with respect to what we are doing, how we are doing it, the direction I'm taking this and other aspects. I understand what I am about to share may not be loved by all asset holders but I have a solution or alternate for you as well. I will also explain why I am doing what I am doing.

We started our Asset Oct 1st 2016 and we have been paying dividends since then, there is no reason this will change it's just the amounts and frequency with which I will be paying. When we started our operation we were on a single GPU which was replaced for a full blown GPU rig custom built and shared with the community in the form of images. That rig has been working hard for months now and will continue to plug away. We have switched alt coins numerous times in an effort to maximize returns. We had some great swings and currently are experiencing a low. It's appears that over all difficultly of GPU mining across the board has increased by 200 to 300% depending on the coin, which in turns means our dividends have been shrinking. That's where we started and what we are doing today, I will continue to mine alt coins in an effort to generate revenue for the holders.

@Tate-A posted a thread about Folding@Home that I was not aware of, I know about distributed computing and participated back in the 90s with the Seti@Home program. Which in turn leads to my story

    Time for a Story:
As most of you know I'm a working professional, married and have kids. I like to consider myself young but as I gracefully age I'm not sure what the definition of young is anymore specifically with respect to a community of forward free-thinking utopians that are very talents in the I/T environments which we work and play. My wife however is younger, at the age of 32 her mother was diagnosis with lymphoma cancer, anyone that has seen the effects of cancer first hand know the trials and tribulations a family undergoes specifically as her mother underwent chemotherapy. After many months of a hard fought battle her mother was declared to be in remission. To get that prognosis from the doctor warms your heart more than one can know until they have lived it. The following year her father became ill (who was older) and was diagnosis with stage 4 lung cancer, the cancer had penetrated vital organs after originating in his lungs and spread to his brain. He was placed on hospice care at home to make his final days the best they could be. While her father was on hospice her month had become ill again, the doctors reported that the lymphoma appears to be back with a vengeance and rapid spread. I watched my wife attempt to care for both of her parents and a family all at the same time. While I consider myself to be a good husband I felt helpless and could do nothing more than take care of our children while she spent nights and weekends with her parents. The suffering did not last long her father passed in May of 2012, her mother was slated to move to our house as she could not care for her self, we had a medical bed brought in and hired a nanny to care for her. She never made it, she died 28 days after her husbands. I'll never know the pain of loosing both of your parents earlier than most and I know my wife will never be the same. Every year we make a donation to causes that are dedicated to finding cures for such horrific diseases. My mother in-law was humanitarian and donated to many causing including Doctor's Without Boarders. We join the Light-The-Nights to show our support as a family for the continued fight.

With that I announce a change to IBMining in conjunction with a Virginia based corporation. We will be contributing to the Folding@Home program in an attempt to help provide computing power to fold proteins in an attempt to battle diseases like cancer.

The program has been underway for about a week now and we are making incredible progress. My wife does not know that I do this in her name yet, but she will and I hope she's as proud of me and the community as I was for her strength that she showed. We just processed our first Million units!

Folding at home pays in FLDC coins (Folding Coins) but at a much lower rate than the alt coins we were mining. I will mine the coins and convert them to BTC then purchase burst as I have done in the past. In an effort to maintain dividends I will be taking the following actions:

    • Adding Assets that pay dividends from my personal account
    • I'm going long on buys and sells to get maximum values for Alt coins and Burst at the best prices
    • I will be lending BTC (from the mining account) in short intervals (2 Days) to build extra coins
    • I will be holding BTC back from Burst buy to build up a lending account to get regular dividends. All BTC will be used to buy Burst in the long run. I will keep my investors up to date on the amount of BTC we are holding on each payout.

If you want out, which some may want there are two options. Nameless and Mr. Grey both have buy walls up at the original sell price of 50 Burst. I will as my funds permit put up buy order for 55 Burst which is a 10% growth. I hope this solution is satisfactory you the community.

    Love All my Investors

@IceBurst I'm all for it - Folded for years.

If you mine with the Curecoin team, you can earn both CureCoin and FLDC. Not sure if that's still the case, but was the last time I folded.

    Fold On!

I just looked into this, the CureCoin team is the #2 team in the world! However if I want to do this I have to abandon the IceBurst Mining Team, I may consider moving a few clients to the Cure Team but I don't want to take away from being able to show the community how much we kicked ass.

  • As a gesture of solidarity for all the shit you had to go through, as well as many like you, on behalf of the 402 fund i will donate a brand new GPU to your cause, and you will be able to dedicate it to folding.

Please get in touch through PM @IceBurst .

This is a gesture of kindness that is beyond the generosity of most. We collect pledges for the Lymphoma walk only from close friends and family that know us personally or knew my in-laws. We always do a matching donation which is typically between $100 and $250. I dub @nameless a GOLD sponsor of IBMining in the fight against terminal illnesses. I'll stick a picture online once it's up and running!

    Much Love,

  • woah, I actually love this man. A real noble cause indeed, major respect.
I'm actually quite interested in folding now as well to help this cause. Any insight on where I could find some info? As I never heard of it before
