How do i increase an Existing Plot on Windows 10!
-
@bvgfhrht it's in your burst folder. PLOTS subfolder
-
@bvgfhrht
No, that is not a problem if you know what you are doing. What miner are you using?
-
@FrilledShark blago burst miner v1.160705 (dont know if i spelt that correctly)
-
@bvgfhrht Your plot files are in one of those paths (where X:\ is your plotted drive):
X:\BURST\plots
or
X:\plotsIf you plot correctly you shouldn't have overlaps if you post your plot file name i could give you the exact name of your 2nd plot and you will save a lot of time...
-
@nameless Ok.. i'll look for it and let you guys know how i'm getting on!
-
@bvgfhrht Don't worry, just keep on plotting.
People have overlapped plots because they use different external drives with the same drive letter in windows or even send plot files from one drive to another and then adding plots.
-
@daWallet Oh snap!!! You just gave me a very clear reason not to delete (was asking what causes overlapping but no one said anything about different drives) but i already deleted it and plotting again right now!
-
@bvgfhrht gpedro gave you the first and right answer: You don't need to delete.
There is another reason for overlapped plots, but it can be fixed:
People interrupt the plotting process and later start to plot again. It can be fixed by Blago's plotchecker...
-
@gpedro Ok got the Plot folder and its deleted...
Truth is i'll delete the existing plot and create a new plot.Just scared that the overlapping thing will mess alot
of things up and take more time.
-
@daWallet Dude didnt say anything about overlapping caused by different plots...
so wasn't sure what the turn out was going to be
-
@bvgfhrht if your second number on the second plot file is equal or bigger than the sum of the second and third numbers in the 1st plot plus one yo will never overlap the plots... for example:
1st plot:
123456789123_0_20000_3000
AccountID_startnonce_numberofnonces_stagger2nd plot:
123456789123_20001_20000_30003rd plot:
123456789123_40001_20000_3000Understand now what cause overlaps? In this example there isn't any overlap...
-
@gpedro Perfectly understand now...
@daWallet said same thing as well but i deleted existing and Plotting again like right now.Would like to use this time to thank every last one of you
who responded to my post.To be sincere! BurstCoin Help/Support/Forum and Developers are the best i've ever seen/met and related with till date and i'm sure that goes for alot of people when it comes to CryptoCurrency!
-
@bvgfhrht Glad i could help you understand, my understanding is this things could be a little hard to understand but after you get it the y turn into something real simple...
