  @Tradersblog Just use notepad and type in the lines, then save with a .BAT extension. You can then click on this file and it will run the commands in sequence.

  Ok seems I figured out the problem, my passPhrase was wrong so it was looking for non existent plots. Crisis averted.

  Update - I was able to uninstall 'Using NVIDIA Binary Driver-version 352.79 from nvidia-352 (open source)' and install 'Using NVIDIA Binary Driver-version 340.98 from nvidia-340 (open source). In terminal re-ran './gpuPlotGenerator ...' and did not get any errors. I did not get a 'Platforms ID #'' as expected and required for input into 'devices.txt'.
  Still interested in 'Makefile' question above. On to next problem. :)

  thanks for the feedback. In addition to deleting the 2nd plot, I also deleted the shell of the optimization file... actually did that first. but alas, it does seem likely that stopping this process caused my issue. Still going along at 13,100 bad files found. I really hope this drive isn't dead because it will take forever to recoup that money from Burst mining.

  Anyone have an idea for a good disk repair utility if the windows one i am running doesn't work?

  @haitch @DrTrouble @KeenHero Thanks for all the input. If I had the right plot size, I think I would go for pools as well, just to be more flexible, maybe try different pools, and also to have the pool stats to compare. Unless the difference in income was huge, then I might reconsider.

  You have embedded gpu in you cpu, you could try jminer to use it for mining.
  The age of a cpu is not all, your current cpu has only 2 cores/threads possible. With 40TB it is normal that it is used 100% while mining.

  You may also check the amount of fees for each pool on this document.

  Also, you have the announcement threads for the pools here : https://forums.burst-team.us/category/32/pool-announcements. Some pool owners like to throw some bonuses, especially for the newer ones.

  @superskid Hyperthreading can allow one core to run two threads - so a single CPU system with 1 CPU has 4 cores & 8 Threads, a system with two CPU's has 8 cores and 16 threads.

  @mrusso Simple answer is that no it makes no difference. However at the margin if when Plotting you take longer to scan your plots then there will be some reduction on short Deadlines which are less than your increased scan time when plotting.
