  @rds I overcome this with a script that checks miner and start it if its not started.

  @echo off setlocal EnableExtensions DisableDelayedExpansion CD "$Path to Miner" TASKLIST | FINDSTR miner-v1.160705_AVX_i64.exe > NUL 2> NUL IF %ERRORLEVEL%==1 ( miner-v1.160705_AVX_i64.exe ) endlocal

  Modify Path and Miner.exe so fit your settings and save to .bat
  Add task in task scheduler to to run this script at logon and repeated every 30 minutes and start the task.

  i use an AMD radeon R7 240 , it's a bit slower but it's only 60$ and you only have to plot once so its no big deal.

  On win 10 64bit I made a bat with this in it

  start /affinity 4 miner.exe <<< where the number is amount of cores and then miner.exe

  Someone might be able to explain better but this gives you an idea.

  @luxe Thank you for advice.

  I tested one GPU board in my PC and measured easy benchmark.
  GeForce GTX 1080 280MB/sec ave
  RX480 360MB/sec ave
  RX460 280MB/sec ave

  GPU-ID said RX460 do not support OPEN CL but can plot and mining.

  Conclusion: CPU power is insufficient. I give up.

  Most likely the DL was found before 3 minutes so this is why I am saying there could be a lag in the network. The confirmation of the block on the network is the critical aspect. What miner/pool reports it to the nodes first. I don't think it happens that often to really cause concern.

  That 3 minute deadline was sitting there for over 2 minutes. It was not my account so I can't be sure, but I pool mine on Ninja the confirmations are almost instantaneous.

  According to the comments above, it does happen often and it should be a concern. It speaks to the integrity of the Burst network.

  @Zeroroel You're mining, read, watch the videos, learn - mastering Burst is pretty easy, just requires a little attention.

  @rds Thank you for your in dept explanation on how you plot drives.

  Yes the main slowdown is writing to disk. I get 8000 nonce's/min speed when the drive is written 20% for one "thread" the CPU is done whit the calculation then the fond turns gray and the CPU has to wait for the writing to stop. So yes I have the same problem as you the disk write speed is to low....
  Also for the first three thread it writs weary fast then the speed drops down....

  @Blago,

  I'm aware of the outer, inner cylinder thing however, the write starts at 30-50 Mb/s and slows to 2-3 Mb/s This is a 10:1 slowdown. Inner/outer cylinders would not explain this. Also, I have set the RAM down to 1GB writing 600 nonces at a time, I don't think that would move from the outer part of the Hdd to the inner for that small a write.

  Just wondering if anyone else noticed this.

  @Tate-A With EXT4, make sure you have barriers disabled, otherwise you could see a significant performance hit while plotting. Ext3 defaulted to barriers disabled, but with Ext4, depending on the distribution, barriers may or may not be enabled.

  @gmoney Its located in a hidden folder called app in a folder burst. You will have to change viewing option in folder options.

  But there is an easier way download blago miner

  The bold stuff needs to be changed when you set your reward assignment. Normally it just the URL and port is normally the same.
  The TargetDeadline I highlighted is the one I use and it will work on my pool and lexicon too.

  Idk what it could be except maybe the plot itself?

  My setup might be optimized but its a unorganized noob setup! still, I can read 85TB@20sec or less! but I can't get all my dl's confirmed!! My real nice ISP with Gbit fiber seems to be worth nothing in this case!-/

  @Han-Solo I dont believe that its only speed that matters! Size does to!-) By that I mean that plot-sizes being so "equal" on burst.ninja helps alot. And then you have to be one lucky enough to get all confirmations! (and btw. openCL on your integrated GPU will read your plots even faster!)

  and then, @all please make damn sure that if posting such numbers that your calculating them right! otherwise you'll make me angry!-) (and others)(possibly the ones you're leeching of!)
