  This will go a long way to help confirm empty/ incomplete or garbage filled plot files.
  I once had a 13GB plot file that my Phone plotter was reading as 19GB. I decided to delete and re-plot. As I was deleting each 1GB file... the true size was revealed.

  I look for to this feature... more grease.

  @gumbogumbo It's 256GB, not hjuge in the grand scheme. Why Not start the next plot 256GB after this one, then when everything else is plotted, come back and redo this one ?

  @kmntrci that will only create a 3TB plot file on your 5TB drive

  the number of nonce's should enough to fill your drive.

  have a look in the readme file in the GPU plotter folder

  @penzek GPU is better ONLY if you have large rig which the CPU is reading it in long time. GPU will read the HardDrives faster and submit your DLs to the network.
  If your reading times are below 1 minute, don't bother to use GPU and save some electricity :)

  @gwagner depends on what address you use to write the plots, but yes, you can plot them all from the same wallet address

  @cram xplotter is the default in the new wallet, use the wallet plotter to get you started. If you have a fast GPU then the GPU plotter is faster but requires a bit of technical ability. If you are using your PC while plotting be careful do not use all cores or it will become very very slow. I suggest creating a tiny plot file first (50MB) as a test so you can get used to the software and to see what the performance hit is like.

  @Energy I have 64 bit java installed. Also, i tried what you said, didn't work.
  i do notice the java file running in task manager, but nothing else.

  @xaocs Your total plot size is about 100Mb, that would be considered small. Hence you are not submitting any deadlines. Try changing pools to one with a much higher target deadline. look here http://util.burst-team.us:8888/ to find a pool with a very high target deadline. The other option is to add more plot files.

  @xaocs as far as reading plots and getting info from the pool it looks fine. you could avoid HDD WAKE UP by adjusting power settings, see https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/3719/hhd-wake-up

  but checking your account on the explorer (http://burstcoin.biz/address/16495433388521334124) again, no reward assignment, but there is no error because the deadline limit for pool.burst-team.us is so high you aren't finding or sending any deadline.

  you might consider using a pool with a higher limit, check http://util.burst-team.us:8888/ for pool with TargetDeadline greater than burst-team. also https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/1109/list-of-all-pools-overview has a link to a spreadsheet with estimated plot size recommendations. that being said you might try http://m.burst4all.com/ which is a pool for mobile miners with high TargetDeadlines. the admin's will ban miners using more than 1 TB though but for your 500GB testing it should work well.

  total mined http://burstcoin.biz/charts/total-burstcoins yes, you don't even need the whole wallet on second machine. just a miner and some plot files. blago's miner and creepminer have proxy functionality to run two miners on a network, this is not needed but helpful. a fork (in this instance) refers to a segment of a blockchain that is not likely to be accepted as the longer chain. blockchain consensus is designed to accept the longest valid chain and build on it, so shorter forks and transactions on them will disappear.
  that being said sometimes i have had the wallet erroneously report a fork. best to check the block height compared to other clients on http://util.burst-team.us:8888

  @iKnow0 Yeah, the pool will change the winner if it thought it won but then finds it didn't, but the reverse does not hold true. If it thought it lost, it does not update when it finds it wins - however the reward amounts do get updated and the block paid out.

  Haha, I feel your pain, I'm in the same boat. I try to embrace /?Linux (Ubuntu) but it's a slow, uphill road. I always run back to Windows. :)
