Oh man... Big thanks @lilkovs and @iKnow0!!!
You made it to answer all my questions in understandable way :-D
As an update:
I got my first burst coin payed out to my wallet. So seems that I really configured the mining pool correctly. I just spent it to change my burst "name" to make it easier to find myself on the pool website.
And... two brand new 8TB USB disks are on the way home.
Let's see if I can earn more than 1Burst per day and how long it takes to get the disk costs in (220€ per disk xD)
Here are some additional questions: xD
12.)
From my research I was expecting to earn about 65€ per month with a 8TB disk. That would payback the disk costs in about 4 months of burst mining.
Right now I have 1.1TB and was mining 1Burst (1-2 € Cents).
Should I be worried?
13.)
Plot optimization: I understood that it is possible to optimize burst plot files.
Is it also possible to create the plots in an optimized format that no additional disk space is needed for optimizing?
14.)
To the mining pools:
I was understanding that there are different pools with different rules. So some pay more bonuses for block winners and some will pay out winning earns more equal to the pool users?
15.)
Is there an overview or an recommendation which pools to use for which setup?
16.)
Is it relevant where the pool is located? (latency or bandwidth?)
17.)
I would expect it makes no sense to be in a pool where all other users have a multiple plot size than me. They would win always and I would become just my low burst amounts?
If I understood right, I'd say that if I have won some times then my reputation (or "Share") will rise to a higher percentage and I will get a bigger part of the pie, next time an other pool user wins? Is this correct?
So it my would make sense to find a pool where all users are having about the same plot sizes to get a very stable outcome?
18.)
Does the miner app read every disk plot sequential or in parallel?
Or differently asked: Makes it sense to mix fast and slow disks or do slow disks just reduce the chance of being the first that wins? Can a slow disk delay the search on a fast disk or do they all start searching at the same time?
Thanks, thanks, thanks!
Very exciting topic. I am still hoping to get some money out of this. :-)
