Ok, for a cold storage i suggest, create a secure passphrase and store it on a usb stick or print it to a paper. Only use it once on a local wallet to make a outgoing transaction and get your AccountId. Thats it.
Aliases provide the base for the social aspect of the network. I do think it would be great if the aliases were integrated as the wallet "name" so that no two wallet names could be the same.
It can be the name for storefronts on the Burstcoin market, messaging and forum apps, for offering financial services, etc.
These are just ideas, and I know the aliases are in early stage, but the future is bright!
@daWallet Guess that would explain why I could not log in cant believe its been that long then since been on here but projects am working on are working close with Burst and am on their team too so am back in the motions again and will no doubt be introduced at some point :) or if I get to it ill be introducing lol
My Dad saw the profit that I have been making with cryptocurrencies. He wants to start mining too. The thing is, he has very little hard drive space and will be using an old Windows Server PC to mine with from 2006. Shall I buy him a 1TB Hard Drive to mine Burst or mine something else?
@JotaJota yea, thats why i am thinking about waiting till morning, afcourse it could go even worse. at the moment i could sell it for about 65-69 but with these prices i am loosing like 0.004 btc (and i am comparing it to 71satoshi sigh)
@FlippyCakes As far as I know their isn't, ethereum is an altcoin that will be switching to proof of stake instead of mining coins. Hell Bitcoin isn't even done mining the original supply. For fee mining to actually work Burstcoin will have too rise in price quite a bit to maintain miners or increase the transaction fee, although there will be a lot of miners shutdown regardless just because of fear. Right now transaction fees are only ($0.000553 OR 1 Burst) wouldn't you be a little worried near the end if that was the price? Although I'm sure that the Burstcoin team will increase the fee to still manage the network in a profitable way.
In the end this is a long way off and shouldn't discourage you from getting coins while their plentiful.
Happy Mining.
@babelis Not so long ago, I was shopping at Walmart and I saw 2TB external hard drive price for 56 dollars. If live in the United States Black Friday day after Thanksgiving holiday most all electrics are 50% or more off to shop around and you might a great deal. But, I heard shopping online is even better deals to get.
yes man, in USA there are always good deals, also on ebay (but shipping) , week ago I bought 2tb external for 33€ free postage and few days later WD external 3tb for 65€, great deals
I'm hoping to get 50 - 70tb for cheap. A little side income that ROIs in 2 years, plus it can be used for services like storj.io in the future. :D
Plus it's fun.
