@haitch Thank you, but still difficult to grasp!!!. From your explanation, confirmation of a block still means nothing, unless you win the block. How will one know you win/loose and where can one find the logs/stats?

Understanding DL's Confirmed and their meaningposted in Introduce Yourself
Hi, William here a newbie on burst mining!!! I need help in understanding exactly what confirmed DL's like this one "599731 6d 22:35:31" mean. Do you need to do anything after this confirmation or just have to wait??? I am mining at a very small scale (249gb) and get appr 10-15 confirmations for the last 3 days but my account gets credit with 1.??? per day. I need to understand this payout concept better before upgrading to Tbytes.
Pardon me with all my questions but I need proper answers from the forum. Many thanks.

RE: Need Help Getting Started With Wallet & Miningposted in Help & Support
@smartspender First check your cpu with https://www.grc.com/securable.htm or http://www.igorware.com/64bit-checker. If yes I can guide you further. On the mac issue we will have to do some research.

RE: Am I running 32 or 64bit Windows OSposted in Mining & Plotting
@Hitti2 You are all missing the point!!! There are people out there with operating systems showing 32 bit os. They should do a cpu checker to verify 64 bit compatibility and then install a 64 bit os. Simple as that!!!

@smartspender Hi, check your CPU if it is 64 bit compliant. If it is, run windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. Note you will have to do a clean install. You cannot upgrade from 32 to 64 bit. It worked for me

Am I running 32 or 64bit Windows OSposted in Mining & Plotting
I have seen not a clear direction/guide on this topic. Most posts just say check your windows operating system. Most Systems will display 32 bit. People should be advised to do a CPU compatibility check. To my surprise my laptop is 64 bit compatible. I am now able to do plotting and mining although at a small pace. However, what is not clear on burst mining is the following:
- What does DL confirmed mean and the interpretation of the figures?
- What happens on your drive after confirmation?
