@mrceebo-0 No sorry got super busy and hadn't gotten around to it. If you decide to dive in or find documentation I'd love to know as well

@Lexicon do you have a link to your current aio wallet/ its github page i think i have an older version

RE: Starting next mining cycleposted in Mining & Plotting
@dkali1 oh no lol that would be SUPER inefficient. just press the start mining button if you are using the AIO wallet or start your mining software and away you go

RE: Thank You Adam Guerbuez and Jason Croweposted in General Discussion
thats pretty sad. Adam claims he's mature and runs everything like a business they didn't even try and hide it it's from the BurstNation Rain account. This is beyond petty.

@dkali1 I'm not sure what you mean.
you only plot your harddrive once, after this you will have plot files. When you setup to mine either solo or on a pool it continuously runs

RE: Plot File Formatposted in Mining & Plotting
i actually asked this in development a few days ago. I haven't found it but im fairly certain you can glean it from here https://github.com/burst-team/burstcoin or
https://github.com/Blagodarenko/XPlotter/blob/master/XPlotter.cppI haven't dived into either yet been busy it looks to use www.shabal.com as the hash code isn't super well documented so might take a bit to read through.

RE: Deadlines, difficulty, etcposted in Development
@rds Yes this is where i got hung up to. I have seen some blocks go longer but I can't seem to identify a mechanism that is effecting it it just seems random. I think the github repo i posted is the core code so ill go through it this week and see if I can figure it out from there.

RE: It's been 3 monthsposted in General Discussion
@Gibsalot precisely I'm not saying the rain's shouldn't ever happen its just the network is not ready for them very clearly. If both parties are willing to move BURST forward the rains need to stop and developers and pool owners need to work to fix the issues with the backlogging
-
RE: It's been 3 monthsposted in General Discussion
@Gibsalot this also confuses me. I was just over there and Focus posts proof that the pools aren't working (haitch's) however its moot. The pool code clearly needs updating and the wallet issues need to be fixed however...
you can't spam something THAT hard THAT fast and then claim its not your fault. It needs to stop until proper development can fix the issue.. -
RE: Deadlines, difficulty, etcposted in Development
@Gibsalot ah this clears some stuff up i also found... https://github.com/burst-team/burstcoin which ill have to go through next couple days i assume most of my questions can be answered there assuming the code is structured well.

Deadlines, difficulty, etcposted in Development
Hey guys.
I'm mostly a lurker but I've been unable to find some information on this.
Deadlines - I've read.. https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/154/what-does-deadline-mean/4However this doesn't explain what I was looking for. For example in general on say bitcoin afaik ( If I'm off please let me know).
To prove you have mined a block you produce a hash that is less than the target. To make it more difficult the target has a difficulty which is basically some padded 0's to the front of it. Miners hash the block + a nonce ( some increment value) then check to see if they produced a value under the target hash. How are deadlines in burst related? i notice my plot files are just long binary strings of what i assume is hashes using some combination of current nonce and my ID created at plot time. How do these relate to deadlines? As in what is compared or read to create the deadline? On a related note I've not seen much mention of difficulty does this exist with BURST or is that built into the deadline system in someway?
If I'm reading this http://us.newsbtc.com/burstcoin-celebrates-birthday-with-release-of-new-energy-efficient-hdd-mining-wallet/ correctly i understand we only read a small portion of the plot file each time however im still not sure what it's 'looking' for.
thanks in advance for any answer

RE: Mining the same 1 pool from multiple computersposted in Mining & Plotting
I think aggregator would be a better choice of word. proxy sort of threw me off when i was reading through the config file

RE: Mining the same 1 pool from multiple computersposted in Mining & Plotting
i find the jminer is much faster on my main computer however i may have to just jump to blagos on both.Running blagos on both now seems fine found some small overlaps in my plots must have done my math incorrectly there
