Interesting! I'm also located in MN, just a few miles north of St. Paul, so I'll be interested in seeing your progress!

Check out Shift as a coin to invest in. The goal of the project is to decentralize the internet.
https://www.shiftnrg.org/
Huge potential.
And you can check out the Ryver channel (same function as Slack) with any questions.
https://shiftnrg.ryver.com*Full disclosure; I've been invested in Shift for awhile (you can find my delegate/wallet on the delegate monitor), but I truly believe it would be a good investment.
you've moved a long way since pharesim left the project. i've had my eyes on shift for longer than you think, but your coin is not ready. i'll know when the time comes, and when it does, it will be in 402's portfolio
You've been watching it for longer than I have! I'm curious as to when you think it will be ready, but I have a feeling you won't tell your secrets! Once Phantom is (re)released I think the train will leave the station pretty quickly.

I bought 100,000 shares a few days ago, damn I should have waited ^^'
@TimboSlice I didn't know about this Shift coin, but it looks very interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Np. I quite enjoy sharing a learning about new projects!

RE: First Annual Node Driveposted in General Discussion
I'll have one running on my mining rig shortly. What kind of system resources are required for a node? I figure if a RPi can run one I can too, even with 4gb of ram and a two core cpu. Is it just mining that would take additional resources vs just providing more peers for the network?

RE: What the actual f*ckposted in Off Topic
Since pretty much everyone is going to college straight out of high school because student loans are so easy to get (that's a whole other topic) and it's just expected that everyone has a degree, I believe there is a huge surplus of labor for "white collar" jobs and companies just hire cheap recent graduates that have a high drive to succeed because they know there's a lot of competition.
Did you get a degree through the army? Or just experience? Unfortunately a lot of companies prefer degrees over experience. Which is bullshit in my opinion, but just kind of how it is.The upside to that is that many trade/"blue collar" jobs are in high demand and pay very well because the kids today don't want to actually put in any real work. I'm not sure if that directly helps you out, but there might be places you can put your skills to work that you haven't considered yet.

RE: What other cryptocurrencies?posted in Off Topic
I'm a delegate/forger for Shift. The goal of the project is to offer decentralized web hosting. Check it out here; https://www.shiftnrg.org/
I think that decentralized hosting will be the next big thing so I'm involved in Shift and own some Maidsafe as well.I also own some Lisk to vote for pools and essentially gain interest, and own some XMR and ZEC for long term.
I just turned my GPU miner to Expanse since they released the bond system which I find interesting and any way I can create more passive income I'm in for, especially at 12% a year, at least in EXP, who knows what the USD value will be, maybe less maybe more.
And finally I'm mining DGB with a 12gh/s USB ASIC. It makes me next to nothing, but hey why not. The USB miner was my first foray into cryptos so I want to keep it running just for fun.

RE: Other altcoin mining?posted in General Discussion
I think SIA and Storj. It's different "mining" though. In SIA and Storj (and eventually Safecoin) you are being paid for others using your disk space, if your contracts get filled. With Burst you are using your disk space to process transactions and create new blocks. So in Burst your disk space acts as the processing power like with a GPU or ASIC, whereas in the others you're storing information.

RE: Working Script - Freebitco.in auto claimer IMacrosposted in General Discussion
@dagentlemang
Down to 37111 since I'm still messing around with it xD, but over 37k.
Just send the burst to my addy in my sig and then send me your 9kw ID over PM here or Burst message or just post it in the thread and I'll send the points over!@gpedro
It's definitely worth it to buy the points! It's a shame the captchas have been so weird for me, but babysitting gets old fast! -
RE: Working Script - Freebitco.in auto claimer IMacrosposted in General Discussion
Is anyone interested in purchasing points for 9kw? I bought some a bit back but have been having trouble with the script with weird captchas and am just tired of babysitting it. It's an issue with freebitcoin mostly and not the script itself.
I have 37,121 points, so lets just say 37k. I'll sell it for .004 btc or 5.8k burst (preferably burst). If you get the minimum amount, 195 sats at the time of writing this with say 12 points per solve, you can get 3,083 solves or .006 btc, standing to profit .002 btc or 50%, while making the income completely passive.
I know this is just me being lazy, but it was only 5 euro/close enough to $5 and just not worth the time to babysit or mess with the script a bunch. So a pretty inexpensive learning experience to make sure an income source is actually passive for a few weeks before paying money to keep it running after only a few days.
PM me on here if you're interested! You can transfer points on 9kw so I'd just have you send the burst and your 9kw account id via burst message and then transfer the points.@dagentlemang if you don't want this here I can move it to marketplace but I figured it would make the most sense in this thread.
