@Gibsalot Oh I see so we almost have the same rate in electric usage or yours is slightly higher.
I'll give an update to the comparison on reading time per block once I got it up and running.
Thanks a lot mate!

I'll try to tinker on the maximmum TB as of now I currently have 4TB of storage planning to increase more bit by bit.
The off peak hours pertain to the night time right? thats abouts 12 hours or more right?
Whats the going rate on your electric company? I'm one of the lucky ones belonging to nation where every company squeezes every penny they can out from their costumer.
Might as well try to experiment on this one. Hope its worth the shot.
@Gibsalot guess what? our rate here is 0.22usd/kWh.
Currently I left my i5 4460 unit to mine. Im just thinking if it would be more appropriate to put this on the brazos platform without too much impact on burstcoin mining.
Hey guys! Just want to ask experienced miners if do you have any rough estimate on how many TB can I put on this boards? Got a spare one of this E350 board.
No problem on plotting since I have seperate plotting unit. Just want to minimize our power consumption. It hurts like hell to see a 20$ increase in power for only 1.5 weeks of starting burstcoin mining taken into account using cpu plotter for about 4 days straight. I will make this a HTPC again with built in burst miner so it acts as dual purpose.
Thanks guys!
Hey @BigBear try this one pool: burstneon.ddns.net port: 8124. Currently mining there. Consistent payouts. small miner count as of this moment.
I think the cause is that the GPU is utilizing all of resources to plot the drive so it cannot give a proper update on your screen. based on this topic https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/588/one-plot-or-many-plot-what-is-best/8.
If you have any questions regarding GPU plotting lets wait for other GPU plotter users to give you input since both of us still learning a way through. :)
yeah that should work better than mine haha. Got a spare gpu GT 730 though. will test if there will be a significant change in drive plotting. for CPU plotting 1tb drive for me took me more than a day to finish with all cpu dedicated for plotting.
I think its normal. What GPU do you have? I think most of GPU plotted device pass by that moment. Just leave it for a while and let the GPU do its thing.
I'm already trying to learn GPU plotting as of this moment got a new 1tb scavenged here from our house to backing up files and will test the GPU plotter once its done.
Thats a long read time for a 500gb drive. Give optimization a try it would no hurt for a 500GB drive. Mine reads around 2-3s for a 1tb drive.
Not yet tested GPU plotting however, I was able to read a topic here that the built-in plotter from AIO burst wallet is already optimized.
Have to double check this from @Blago for accurate details on this one.
So far I'm mining on 4.1TB and currently received payouts ranging from 60-100 burst per day average plotted using the built-in.
It seems to me I'll be getting the greens. Just confirmed that the drives indeed manufactured 2015. So this means faster ROI and earlier profit.
Thanks a lot @Gibsalot! :)
I see so that means Im so lucky if that drive gave up on me in early. Btw. Once mining are the drives running at 100% most of the time or only once it found a block to mine?
Hey glad to see new comer. Im also new here. Im already a lurker here for the past weeks and just officialy joined the community as I have found the guys here are very fun to trade info and so helpful.
Hope to help others here as much as I like to impart my personal experiences on actual testing. Currently mining on 4tb from old drives here from our home.
As for the mining I still have lots to learn from experienced miners here. Looking forward to of help to anyone!
Yes you can. I tried the built in cpu plotter from the aio burst wallet. Just allocate properly the core counts to use. I did it using my 2 500gb drives. It takes longer however to finish however both will be done al.ost at the same time if both have the same capacity.
@rnahlawi damn. You just made more difficult for me too decide haha! If only I have that kind of money :)
Yes sure no worries. I'll ask if the seller is wiiling to ship out of country if your not from philippines. What country are you from?
Hey @Gibsalot thanks for the input.
Typically for a drive running 24/7 how long before it gives up? Still torn between because I'm thinking if this would serve me long enough to fund another drive. I think the WDC greens last manufactured batch was 2015 if I'm not mistaken.
Guys need your opinion on this one.
Which would you prefer? I got a got good deal on this package.
3pc 6TB WDC Green for 140 USD ea. or should I rather go for the newer ones 4pcs 4TB WDC Reds for 120 USD ea. I'm currently undecided on this one since both has each pros and cons.
