RE: Which exchange website converts my BURST to Fiat?posted in Help & Support
@Akito There is NO direct, lets say one-stop-way to convert BURST to € or $ currently so to speak.
You have first to convert your Burst to BC (or other currency) via a trading Exchange like Poloniex. From there, there are plenty of vendors out there willing to convert your BC (or whatever the top 5 crypto currencys are currently) back to € or $ and send it to you via SEPA to your regulal bank account, send it to your Skrill, convert it to Amazon Vouchers etc.
It sounds more difficult than in reality it is -its just 2 steps and stops instead of one, thus Need accounts at two vendors istead of an one-does-it-all platform.

RE: How do you find out that you are mining ?posted in Mining & Plotting
@SamForex This way it wont work.
In your above screenshot, pool adress and updater adress are different - but should be the same.
Thus, you dont get any confirmed download, thus wont get any Burst. Should look like this:
To solve your Problem, Close your wallet completely, then reopen it and Switch/correct pool info by "start mining"- choose the pool you want to be part of giving the miner the correct Information. Click "Change Award Assignement", paste pool info and your passphrase into the TextBox. After about 20 min your miner then should Show correct /confirmed DL, looking like this:

RE: 300tb - should I solo mine?posted in Mining & Plotting
@HiDevin Lets say in this case 5000 Burst Transaction fees (=5000 single pool payouts) for the sake of it, within "a few weeks", thats 6 weeks so to speak and assuming, so 42 days, thus 119(!) pools payout every day. Nah. But dunno, numbers are assumptions as dunno the Details which pool etc.
Sorry for hijacking the thread, Solo with 300TB still better imo than pool was the main message. (But not for 7-9%, but less). (In the Long run, for which 6 weeks or even double that is not enough).
-
RE: 300tb - should I solo mine?posted in Mining & Plotting
@HiDevin 1.5% pool fee, another 0.5 lets say for lex code (if used, unlikely).
7% Transaction fees for 83-90K Burst in this case, "a few weeks" = 5810 Burst, 1 Burst/each Transaction, 5800 Transactions for pool payout only within a few weeks.? No.
Think Variance is the main reason. Theoretically there should be NO difference in the Long run whatever that maybe between solo and pool mining, except for the fees, 2% max. , plus the Transaction fees are ignorable when it Comes to to sizes like a few 100TBs..

RE: 300tb - should I solo mine?posted in Mining & Plotting
@PummelHummel Answer is def. yes, agree. You will face a Little bit more variance, but with 300 TB not that Problem.
On the plus side you save on pool fees. 9% difference seems a bit too much imo, normal pool fees are aprox. 1-1,5%, dont know where the other 7% are coming from. Variance?

RE: [PRE ANN] Minero100posted in Asset Exchange
@aitor 2 weeks ago Burst against the $ was virtually the same as today if not higher, but most certainly not 9.-. Price for 3-4 weeks now is stable against BC and $ hoovering around 600 Satoshis +-10% max and 140-150$ each 10.000 Burst.

RE: Blocking pools with trashposted in General Discussion
@haitch My real question wouldnt be about an HW arms race, but.. whats the reason behind attacs with no obivous gain at the end?
Obviously, there is no direct monetary Advantage like blackmailing the victim like when you encrypt his HDs and files, after that try to squeeze some BC out of him for decrypting.. So, whos going to spend money, buy a botnet Service with the aim to take certain pools down or Forums and/or just put pressure on the owner/admin? What do I know - nothing. Just asking.

RE: Blocking pools with trashposted in General Discussion
@Tross U using/thought about using a HW Firewall between your pool Server and the Internet?
