Can anyone tell me the difference in the different mining options. When mining, I typically choose default. What is the difference between default, AVX and OpenCL?
Thanks
Can anyone advise me on which pool or pools I should be mining in as a beginner with a plot size of 145 GB?
Thanks
@haitch Thanks. I went ahead and switched pools per your suggestion.
Just wanted to know how to tell if I'm properly setup for mining. I started mining the other day, and I think everything is working. The miner exe file is open and showing a new block every minute or two.
So far, no change in my wallet balance, other than from the faucets. Roughly, about how long would it be until I see a change in my balance?
I'm mining in the pool.burst-team.us pool.
Thanks for your help.
@jervis @haitch and everyone else. Thank you. I finally got it figured out. Apparently, if you have the passphrase all on one line, it makes a difference. I simply put the last word on a new line, copied it, and it worked.
@haitch I'm thinking about just creating a new wallet. Still can't figure out why my passphrase loads a different wallet.
@haitch Thanks. I still can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. No extra beginning or trailing characters. Copying passphrase exactly. Still not able to get the correct onscreen wallet to load. There's something I"m doing wrong, I just can't figure out what it is.
@haitch I'm attaching a screenshot of the client. After using my passphrase to login, it shows my original wallet balance at the bottom, but shows a different wallet and balance in the main window.
@haitch I'm pretty sure I've got the passphrase correct. I have it copied and it worked fine at first, but I"ll double check. . For awhile it was showing my original balance at the bottom of the screen in Burst Client, but would show a new wallet with zero balance in the main window. Must be something I'm missing.
@theduuude I had 41 Burst in my wallet. Also, before it showed my balance at the bottom of the screen (in Burst Client) but the main window showed a new wallet address with 0 balance, which is what shows up now.
Ok. I rebooted my PC and when I opened up the Burst Client again, this time my old wallet info is gone, and replaced with a new wallet address. I tried using the load wallet feature, but that comes up blank.
Anybody know how I can load my original wallet? I have all the info. I just can't find a way to enter it in. I am using the correct passphrase, so that's not the problem.
Thanks
Hey Everyone,
I'm new to the forum and wanted to say hi and introduce myself.
I've spent the last 15 years in the internet marketing space, and have been involved in network marketing for the past 24+ years.
I came across Burstcoin after watching a Youtube video by Adam Guerbez and immediately became hooked.
I'm pretty new to Cryptocurrency and Burst is my first attempt at mining and investing in crypto. I missed out on the Bitcoin boom, and I see Burst as hitting that level or beyond in the near future.
I'm still learning how everything works, so I appreciate any input.
Thanks,
Kurt Tasche
