Well... so far, only gains from this "magic trick", hence, I'll keep it and hope for the best...

My question is: how can this "asset" appear in my account since I did't buy it? Security hazard?

WTF!? I magically gained 1327 shares of this asset and even got paid 0.31635665 in dividends!

Something is still wrong. No payments last 2 days and shows weird "Q" balance.

Yep, maybe that's it. Since it seems that the miner is working fine, and until I find anything wrong, I'll keep it like this.
Thanks -
Pool.burstcoin.eu weird problem...posted in Mining & Plotting
Hi guys,
Can anyone explain why the pool says I have 2TB when I have 5TB?
My miner seems to read both my drives (1 x 2TB + 1 x 3TB) ok, and deadlines are searched in both plots, but poll indicate I only have 1.8, 1.9 or 2TB (it changes sometimes...).
Is there any error in the pool or my mining (uray miner in Linux)? -

...(drum rolls)... IT WORKS!
@damncourier Thank you (multiply by 1000+), and sorry for my lack of information.
BTW, you do not "sound like an impatient ass" because I'm not listening to you... actually, I'm reading you. :) And I was the first to asked to be treated like a child, hence, your "impatience" made me take a big step into adulthood ;). I can only thank you (again) for this. -
RE: Help with mining in Linuxposted in Help & Support
Sorry guys, but nothing... I'm really getting frustrated about this... (must be a supreme noob!)
Is there any Linux miner out there that can treat me as a child and explain all the steps?
My specs:
- I have a PC, with 2 cores, running Linux 16.04, 64bits (not headless anymore. added GUI with remote access), with JAVA (OpenJDK Java 8).
- I have 2 drives
- One with 3TB, called BD3TB, plots 16444728646700662992_1200000001_11434624_10048
located at /media/hotdrive/BD3TB/Burst/Plots - One with 2TB, called BD2TB, plots
16444728646700662992_1300000001_7611648_13568
located at /media/hotdrive/BD2TB/Burst/Plots
- One with 3TB, called BD3TB, plots 16444728646700662992_1200000001_11434624_10048
- I mine at pool.burstcoin.eu
Don't care for which miner to use, as long as it works.
Help...

RE: Help with mining in Linuxposted in Help & Support
@Njcfamily31907 ...so... can't find that file "burst-miner-1.1.zip" anywhere. The closest thing I found was the Uray miner, which has 2 files: burstminer and miner.conf. Can't do make, can edit the conf file, ./burstminer does nothing...

@LithStud I have JAVA installed (one of the first things I did). But thanks for the reminder.

RE: Help with mining in Linuxposted in Help & Support
@Njcfamily31907 Ok, I'll give it a go. But I'm still insisting on one thing: mining in Linux should be as simple as mining on Windows. Maybe someone can make a AIO Wallet for Linux...

Help with mining in Linuxposted in Help & Support
Hello again. I finally managed to plot my drives and found a way to access my headless linux server to leave it mining... the problem now is how to mine.
I've tried all the softwares and still can't mine using Linux (Ubuntu):- Burst Mining System - Error in maven and with JAVA_Home
- PocMiner - although I follow the instructions, doesn't work
- Dcct - Still no go.
After a while, and looking at the software available for Windows users, I have to conclude that Burst is not for Linux users.
I'm going to try some other options because I still believe this can be a good project but I'm really getting tired of banging my head just to make something work on Linux, when is so easy to do on Windows..

RE: Help with plottingposted in Mining & Plotting
So, here is an update on my questions.
- Think I found why the 2TB drive was plotting so slow. It is a "fancy" Toshiba drive with "Powersave mode". If the drive is not used for a while, it shuts off, hence, the plotter needs to keep re-running the access to the drive.
-- Resolution: plotting and mining at the same time :). I started the plotter (AIO) on the 2TB drive using 3 of my 4 cores and then started the miner. Since the miner detects 2 plots, keeps trying to access the plot on the 2TB drive. It gets an error, but the access to the drive keeps it alive, and then continues to mine with the 3TB drive. Plotting fine and I expect to have it done in 3 days.
Now, I just need to figure out how to mine correctly with a Linux headless server...
Thanks all!

RE: Help with plottingposted in Mining & Plotting

RE: Help with plottingposted in Mining & Plotting
Thank you all for the reply.
- Regarding the overlapping, I think it was a confusion with drive letter. Next time, I'll plot with both drives attached so that plotter don't get confused.
- Regarding the GPU plotter... not enough knowledge. I'll have to depend on the AIO plotter and hope for the best.
- Regarding the time: the 3TB drive taking 5 days was normal (I read that a 4TB drive would take that time); for the 2TB drive reaching 5% in only one day is weird. Don't know if it has anything to do with the drive (it's a Toshiba with "PowerSave" mode...). Anyway, the 3TB drive plotted at 2000+ nonces average (I think...) and the 2TB drive is only plotting at 300 nonces.
Again, thanks for your help.
@gpedro Abraços Algarvios! :)

Help with plottingposted in Mining & Plotting
Hi guys.
Just a few questions:
1 - I'm planing on mining with 2 external drives: 1 with 3TB and another with 2 TB. Should I create 1 plot in each or is best if I create several plots (eg. 3x1TB + 2x1TB)?
2 - I already have my 3TB drive plotted (took 5 days) and I'm trying to plot the 2TB but I get lots of errors and, in 2 days, it only went up to 5%! (plus, I hear the drive's needle jumping a lot...). Why?
3 - The plots I'm getting look weird:- on 3TB - account_nr_ID_1200000001_11434624_10048
- on 2TB - account_nr_ID_1200000001_7617792_13952
Since the 2 second numbers are the same, won't I get overlapped nonces?
4 - I'd like to do the all plotting process again, but right this time, and with GPU, but I can't seem to get it going right...
Thanks
