Made an exception.
I can enter my wallet via browser but when I try to use http://burstcoin.biz/faucet it says it's only for new users. I haven't used any faucet ever before cause I'm completely new to burst.
Oh, so this is all okay? Good, then and sorry for being such a noob.
When I first tried to download the whole blockchain from scratch the was a number appearing every 5000 so I expected the same witch bigger numbers here. It was so misleading.
Can I start mining and all this Burstcoin stuff now?
Great, if so.
@gamedevmike Or is it even heading to any number? Sorry for silly questions, I'm a total newbie.
Rebooted, launched (initialization took 884 seconds...), created wallet and can't see any downloading percentage anywhere (after 8 mins since initialization).
Where do I look for it?
Hi, I want get started with Burstcoin but the beginning of the journey is full of different problems and issues ;p
Firstly, I couldn't download the db due to overloaded server about which I? wrote here.
This was resolved with an idea of creating mirrors. I downloaded the wallet package from this place and the db from http://db1.burst-team.us/
I unzipped both archives, pasted the db into burstcoin-1.2.8\burst_db and ran run.bat file.
After having waited for over an hour and a half I stopped believing it's heading anywhere. I think I'm kind of stuck.
Is it a normal thing? Should I do something else? How long does one usually wait?
The db was from June 18th
This is how my orginal post from a few hours before looked like.
Then I found this: https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/1857/howto-fix-a-stuck-wallet and asked admin to delete.
Unfortunalety it did not help. I don't know the exact puropse of "popOff" but even when I put a big? numBlocks of 1400 there the only thing that happened was cpu usage rising to 100% (browser 50, java 50, then java all) for a while.
The run.bat still look like this:

I don't know what to think about this issue. Do I wait more or should I do something else?
