Manual plotting - file namesposted in Mining & Plotting
Hi all,
I'm doing manual plotting with xplotter.
The following cmd:
xplotter_avx.exe -id 7846107026805711843 -sn 600000001 -n 0 -t 2 -path g:\Burst\plotscreated the following file: 7846107026805711843_600000001_8370856_8370856
So I though for the second plotfile I should run this cmd:
xplotter_avx.exe -id 7846107026805711843 -sn 600000001 -n 8370856 -t 2 -path g:\Burst\plotsBut is also created a plotfile with the same name...
What am I doing wrong? :|

RE: Mining Deadline and HDD sizeposted in Mining & Plotting
Thanks Rich.
Then why would you spread your plots over multiple miners if you get shorter deadlines with more assigned plots to your mining process?

RE: Mining Deadline and HDD sizeposted in Mining & Plotting
Trying to understand this correctly:
You are running 5 miners on the same plot files?
Also I still do not understand what the factors are to get small DLs.
Mine are always above 1 day:08:27:13 [ 7846107026805711843] confirmed DL: 378010 4d 09:00:10

Mining Deadline and HDD sizeposted in Mining & Plotting
Hi All,
Hope someone can help me out with the following:
1:
I scrolled through the forum and everyone is saying that the most important factor of getting DLs is the plotsize.
Am I correct to state that I'm getting more DLs if I have more capacity?2:
When I check the pool stats, I can see almost any time that a user with smaller capacity hitting better Deadlines.
I can see differences of hours between the number 1 and 2. What makes a user to give out a good deadline? Thanks!

RE: Nonce start number and moreposted in Mining & Plotting
Thanks Rich!
Another question that popped up:
Is it better to have large plot files or max them at e.g. 1TB?

Nonce start number and moreposted in Mining & Plotting
Hi All,
Some noob questions incoming, couldn't find it anywhere :)
Question 1:
I started plotting:
[0%] Generating nonces from 400000001 to 400032769Why does it start at 400000001? What does the "4" mean?
Question 2:
I found the following text under the FAQ of mining by @haitch :
You can thiink of each nonce as a lottery ticket - someone with 10TB has a lot more tickets than someone with 1TB, and each ticket has the same chance of winning. The bigger miner will win more often, but any miner can get a lucky ticket.
Would it make any difference if I do not start at nonce 0? I mean everyone starts at 0 so would it make sense to have unique nonce numbers?
Many thanks!

I also have issues with ReFS using xplotter...
