@haitch The config was OK. I downloaded a stand alone miner and copy the config from aio wallet and it worked ok. Confirmed DL from the first round. ^_^ I will try and find out whats wrong with aio wallets miner after plotting is done cause it might need a system restart.

@haitch Yeah I am using burstcoin.ml. Was just giving a heads up that old pool is still around (not working) and it may cause confusion.
How can I make sure the assignment was set correctly? Cheers for the patience.
BOOM, happend to be near the mining pc while miner showed...

http://pool.burstcoin.ml/ Burst Pool V2 with Recipient: BURST-L28E-WSYC-F4N3-B82AC
URL: http://burst-pool.cryptoport.io (port80) is still available online with how to links and it may cause confusion.
BTW still no DL after 3 hours.
Does this look OK?

@haitch No errors reported back. Just a submited deadline but with no confirmation or anything - which was strange cause other times I get a message that deadline is not confirmed. Will of course continue. Just wanted to make sure its working correctly before I start the ploter again. Dont wont to mess with pc while ploting.

@haitch More or less thats what I did. Now waiting to find and submit deadlines to verify on website that its working. Is there anything else I should do?
After 1 hour and no deadline found or submited...is it normal?
send DL on 16:12:09 (78812 - 0d 21:53:32) but got no confirmation or any other responce from pool

After messing around with miner.conf I think I got it working correctly. Only time will show.

@Tate-A Setting up miner accordingly. 1mil…hell yeah. Thumps up for that. What’s the next target?
@Tate A Shit man I can only imagine your frustration. Take a rest…sleep on it. Deal with it on a clear head and I am sure you will figure it out. I can only keep me fingers crossed for you because I have no idea about setting up a pool especially on an environment other than windows.
@sevencarUnfortunately in my area that’s the best I can currently get on a decent deal and it’s even a used hdd. 8tb it’s the max (widely available) external hdd in my country but for about 370 USD (new). Online ordering is actually not an option cause of the high shipping and custom taxes. The thing that concerns me the most about the certain drive is that its packaging ain’t the same as the other buffalos I find online thus making me think of copycats
Your thoughts pls on the specific hdd. Anyone using em?
Plus I am having a hard time finding it online with the same packaging as in the linked picture. Makes me wonder.

@Tate-A Cheers for the reply mate. That makes sense. It’s crystal clear for me now. I must have been lucky getting some decent DLs but unlucky when it came to the actual block being found in our pool. Must have been during the time the mining pc was working but the system was frozen and after 100 rounds of my last confirmed DL. And it’s been at least 2 nights that I went to bed only to find out the pc frozen in the morning. Good to know the possibility that if you don’t mine 24/7 there’s a good chance that your overall mining from last block will be a waste (do you feel lucky? situation). By the way are we “big” enough to mine a block per 24h in burstcoin.ml?
Once again thx for replying.

Good morning/day/night all.
I am pretty new to burst and always eager to learn. I was trying to fully understand the way pools pay their miners.
I ve been on burstcoin.ml for some days now. I got an early payment of 15 burst and after that nothing. Did saw some good (minutes) DL being confirmed but that’s about it. I am currently mining with about 2.5 TB which accordingly to the online calculator should have produced some payments by now. But I aint taking that into deep consideration cause of some HDD issues (1 of em had bad sectors and the aio client miner was not working correctly) and system issues which kept me from mining 24/7.
So the questions are should I have been paid by now and what amount would have been a reasonable one (average not luck)? Am I even mining correctly? Do I have to mine 24/7?
I do understand you guys get asked these kinds of questions all the time and I am not trying to be a pain in the ass. I did read the above replies about pool info and understood most of it. I am just trying to come into a conclusion and decide if mining if profitable for my situation or not.
Thank you in advance for any help.
