Hmmmm.
I am running the dividends for my asset now, and I think I messed it up. Since the majority of my assets are NOT sold yet, it looks like the majority of the dividend was paid to the asset itself. Is this an instance where I need to EXCLUDE the asset wallet in the dividend distribution ???
-
@tomahawkeer
I have no experience in paying dividends to others but I would divide the payout you want to pay holders of your asset by the percentage of sold assets. So the total payout will be higher but a part of it goes back to your asset wallet - depending on the percentages.
-
@daWallet yeah that was the idea, however the asset wallet wasnt excluded the first time I ran it, however the 2nd time it was. Everything is good now, and dividend is paid.
-
I have installed the dividend add on, to 2 different wallets, and had issues getting it to show up on the local wallet.
It eventually showed up on the first install (didn't do anything other than copy the files and restart the wallet) but now im having the same issue on the 2nd wallet. both wallets have been updated to 0.3.3
-
I found that if you hit F5 to refresh and log back in that it shows up. No idea why, but thats what I had to do to get the burst services to show up for dividends etc.
-
@tomahawkeer You have to clear the cache of your Internet Explorer or it will always load the old version...

@daWallet I can't access the Dividends Addon, I've tried from the online wallet from the browser, and when i try run the local wallet 1.2.6 it gives me some kind of error and close it automatically. i try put pause at the end of the bat but this only keep open the cmd window not the actually server window so anyone knows about this and what can i do so i can put that to work?
-
@gpedro use https://mwallet.burst-team.us:8125/index.html for now.

@daWallet Thanks man... Working ;P

@gpedro I'll get the rest of the online wallets updated with this - they used to have it, but I guess I broke it on one of the wallet upgrades.

Just throwing an observation out here :
I've been using this plugin/module for about 5 days now. It's awesome and much needed. Thank you for that!
However, i did notice something interesting. Since my asset pays out daily, i tend to notice stuff here :D
At first, when i had 2-3 investors it paid out instantly, and then each day as new investors came, it started to take longer and longer for the dividends to get sent out. Now i have 15 accounts that i pay out to, and it takes it a minute from the point i click ''activate dividends'' to the point where it says ''dividends sent''. CPU or RAM is not an issue because i have a hadcore rig and i've been watching the usage while i pay - doesn't go up.
What i'm saying is that the time it takes goes up with each new account it has to pay to. But for now i see no reason for concern on the matter. I'll keep looking into it. Hopefully as my asset grows and i will have more investors over time, i'll be able to see if the time keeps increasing or that 1 minute is the max waiting time.
So again, unless any of us has an asset with 1000+ investors, i don't see a problem :D , it's just an observation i'm making here.

@gpedro i'm sure he will if needed :D
@luxe i wouldn't bother with this right now if i were you. I'm sure you have better things to do. This is very low priority right now. I'm still studying the matter.
-
I did not code this add-on, just posted it here, so it does not get lost, no idea who actually created it.
-
@luxe wait, what?
So we're using an unchecked tool that could potentially gather data and leave users vulnerable to an attack? Please tell me i got it wrong.
-
@nameless The add on is one html file and two javascript files. Anyone - me, you, luxe, whoever - can look at the files and see what they're doing. There's nothing malicious going on in the addon.
-
@haitch i didn't mean it to sound like that. What i was basically asking is if there was a risk not knowing who wrote the scrypt, but now that you put it out there and explained that it's that simple to check (i'm tech tarded) , i feel a bit better. Sorry if i made it sound so ''serious''. My bad
